Our public school system was adopted from the Prussian school for soldiers. John D Rockefeller and Horace Man brought this system to America in the early 1900s to create obedient workers. Great episode. Most people look like lost schoolchildren with Jesse but Ryan did pretty well. I have more respect for him now. Our childhoods have some similarities. He barely did the annoying Bert laugh in this which was nice.

What was civil rights about? It wasn't white liberation from blacks. Also, Trump is not the great white hope. Ryan was right on the money. Jesse is so crazy he thought he was being punked. This is my 4th time listening to this. I love the way Sickler says, "give me one great man that they're trying to tear down" to which JLP says, "the great white hope" and Ryan says, "hold up, now you're switching subjects" because he doesn't realize JLP's meaning Trump is the great man they're trying to tear down…classic
