I've only ever flown 3 times, but who applauds for a landing? When did anyone last give a bus driver a round of applause?! Did the pilot have to reckon with a wing of Messershmidts coming at him from out of the Sun, or something? Perhaps bad turbulence, I suppose, but coming _from_ Cork, this is frankly embarrassing - we've got television, and high rise buildings and drugs and _everything,_ you know!
