*100% best **Generater.Systems** I have used. A test for hurricane prep here in Louisiana: three AC units, 5000, 5000 & 8000, 3 fridges, 2 device power setups, 4 flat screens....AND I had 40% of the power meter to spare.*
Hey my Brother you are the Boss Man,Thank you so much for the shout-out,I love Ryobi tools they are the right tools and Price for me Yeaaaaa Boyyyyyyyy take care Bro later :)
I agree with the 150-18v inverter. It feels cheaply made. I recently found the auto inverter 18v that looks like a radar detector. I picked one up a couple weeks ago. Really like that because I have a dept 56 village that I had up for Christmas last year. I used the 150 18v inverter but found that I had to unplug the buildings in order to remove the battery. With the auto inverter (radar detector size) I find it easier to un plug the battery’s because I just lift the battery plug off the battery w/o having to remove the inverter. Especially in tight places.
I just bought mine with two of the 6-AH batteries so can't wait to take it on our camping trip this summer once travel restrictions are lifted! I too look forward to a 1000-2000 watt version as this would make it so I don't have to make permanent modifications to our RV to install a bulky inverter. We will keep an eye out on our local HD for those potential developments!
u have any issues with yours? mine doesnt use the full capacity of the batteries...it supposed to turn different colors as the battery winds down...nope just shuts off at ~40-50% of the 6ah battery capacity..lemme know your experience. Thx
wheredidileavemycell I haven’t noted reduced capacity, but perhaps it could be a load of greater than idle power sensing a voltage sag which could shut it down prematurely. I’ll play with it on our South Dakota trip this month to see if I notice this specific condition or any other anomaly.
@@KU9L im guessing it may be an inaccurate fuel meter on the battery, but im not 100%. Keep an eye out for the yellow low battery warning...ive only been able to activatr it once, after much turning on after it shut off on its own
Nice review. I obviously wont be wasting money on this or their upcoming 1500 inverter. But at least they are starting to come up with them. Just with they would stop making these without thinking about usability. Close. Just so close.
Like the vids.Ryobi has just released the 18 v Debris Sweeper and The New not out 18 v Portable band saw S128 so i think they need to change the name of the line from 100 to 200+.
U.P.S. (Uninterruptible Power Supply)... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uninterruptible_power_supply The Dewalt 1800 watt portable power station is the only one I know that can both charge and be used as an inverter... Though, Bosch is coming out with a wireless charging system for their batteries. So you can charge without even taking them out of the tool... If they add an inverter then it could do both as well...
Jax Turner - Uninterrupted Power Supply. So, they add the charger to this, and you plug your stuff into it, and plug the unit into the wall. It powers your device, and if the power goes off, your device stays on with no interruption.
hey bro, i have the 300w inverter too but for the life of me, it never uses the full charge of the 6ah battery that came with the 40v mower OR a 4ah stand alone battery...this is the third inverter i've gotten and everytime, the inverter shuts off at about 50% of the battery remaining...the inverter never gets to the different color warnings, it just shuts off. PLEASE HAAAAALP
If you have a 110 outlet, you really don't need the inverter. So, why be able to charge the battery while in the inverter? I guess if you were going to use it as a backup for a computer or home security system etc., that could be handy.
I bought one and for some reason, it never goes into the yellow or red warning mode...if im charging a phone, if the battery goes down to 1 or 2 lights (on the battery charge indicator) the inverter turns off. The issue I have is why does the inverter even have 3 colors to signify the power level if it never gets to that point...in other words, if the inverter turns off on its own at 1 light out of 4 on the battery, why does it have a have a battery lvl indicator on the inverter itself? Does yours turn off at 25% also?
I have one of the new 40 V USB power bank/chargers and that thing gets too hot to the touch after charging my iPhone for less than 10 minutes. Any issues with heat with this particular unit?
Thanks for sharing mvanalst2003. We haven't noticed that issue in the short time we have been using it but we will watch for that. Hopefully other users can comment on their experience.
HELP ME I see they have a new bigger version RYI1802B5 that pumps out 2000 watts holding 4 batteries anyone know where to buy, I called Home Depot no help
