Thanks for the video, but maybe for a mowing video a yard with actual nice fresh grass that needs mowing so we can see how they perform not mowing weeds and flowers, hard to tell how well they cut grass when you don't actually cut any.
Thanks for the review perfect just what I was looking for. How hard is the 53cm to manoeuvre ? Most of our yard is straight mowing but there is some manoeuvring to be done around gardens etc.
Great video thanks! So for a larger lawn would you go for the 53cm option (that includes the cross blade) despite only being able to use one battery at a time rather than the 46cm model that can use both batteries for more power and longer run times?
Hey Chris As I was saying on Facebook the 53cm would be the way to go if you can, You have the wider deck (Less Passes) and don’t worry about the power. It has plenty especially with the cross cut blades. The Self-propelled is instant and switching the key to use the other battery is not an big issue Hope this helps ✌🏻
Hi, just wondering if you can use a more powerful battery with these mowers? I know it comes with a 36V 6.0AH Battery but I saw Ryobi also sells a 36V 12.0AH Battery separately. Would the 12.0AH be ok to use?
Hi mate, the 53cm has a 1000W motor where as the 46cm has a 1200W motor. Do you notice that the larger mower is less powerful? Is there any difference in catching performance? And is not having the manual controls of the power settings on the 53cm annoying?
Can you provide a reference for the 46cm having a 1200w motor? I can’t seem to find anything online. And is the 1200w only if there is a second battery inserted?
I have actually noticed the 46cm does seem like it had more power but I never had looked at the specs, that’s good to know and confirms my thoughts I honestly wish there was a mix of these 2 mowers for several features with the power modes being one of them
With the 46cm HP model, do you know if adding the second battery will actually increase the power? I am hoping to have an electric that can scalp couch for a height reset but it seems like most electric mower just aren’t strong enough
Until they're tested over 10 years against the costs, reliability, range etc. associated with something like a Honda HRU, which is similarly priced, we won't know how good they are.
