When the heat is on, like summer or just a hot room with no air circulation this massive 40v HP 20" Whisper Series Air Cannon from ‪@RYOBITOOLSUSA‬ is just what you need. It runs for a super long time and is super powerful, nuff said! haha. Let me know your thoughts, is this what you were expecting for actual testing?

I have tested a lot of fans over the years. I just tried out this fan. I was excited about the 6300 cfm claim. Got home, plugged it in, and turned it on to high, and i was shocked at how anticlimactic it was. I thought i made a mistake and put it to low. I was immediately disappointed. The reason its so quiet is because its moving like no air. Also just 8 feet away i can barely feel it. I was getting like 4 mph on my anemometer. 1 inch from the fans grill i was getting 16 mph max. To put into context how weak that is i compared it to a comfortzone power curve 20 inch fan i got at biglots for 29 bucks. That measured at 17.5 mph at 1 inch from the fan. And 9.5mph at 8 feet. The ryobi disperses the air very quickly so you cant feel much at farther distances but the powecurve fan puts out a more powerful, focused stream of air that travels mich farther. This 30-40 pound fan and yet a cheap 6 -8 pound plastic fan beats it convincingly. I measured 1900 -2300 cfm with the ryobi. 1/3 what they claim. This fan is one of the biggest rip-offs iv come across. I also have the ego 20 inch misting fan. If you need a fan that doesn't lie about the specs get this one. I measured 4000cfm and a wind speed of 23 mph which is higher than claim of 20 mph. Yes its a lot louder but you get 5 speeds. I also have a mounto 1 hp 16 inch Axial blower fan. I added a special grill from a different fan thats designed to focus air. This fan does 60mph at 1 inch and 30.7 mph at 8 feet. Its single speed and pulls a ridiculous 20 amps on start up. Its also so absurdly loud. But any fan with velocity that high is gonna be loud. Iv yet to find something that can beat this for under two hundred bucks.

Thanks for this comment. I am comparing the EGO Power+ 18" and this Ryobi fan, unsure what to get, but it looks like the EGO is the way to go. I need something for sporadic power outages that will push decent air for several hours to keep the air flowing in my place.

Cool fan I have one of the smaller 18v air cannons and love it for our dog shows. I'd love to get this one for shows but might be too big 😅

That’s a nice fan! How how much air it moves. Nice and quiet. This would be a great shop fan. Thank you!!

When will an outdoor battery platform brand make one that can oscillate? I know makita has one but that’s not going to have the cfm and run time of like a Ryobi 40v or an ego 56v or even another large outdoor tool equipment brand with larger higher capacity batteries

Hello I am wondering where I can get a ryobi 40v 6ah HP battery. Do they make the HP batteries anymore?

Not asking for a whole new video but can you do a shorts with 12ah battery?

The 12ah is a nice battery, but it is huge. (I had to have one!) Most tools you are not going to want to deal with the 12ah. I use it on the 2-in-1 inflator and on the bug zapper.

229 is a joke of a price especially without a battery. They have whisper series lawn equipment that’s cheaper that comes with a battery. The 300w inverters with a lasko is a much better buy. This fan should be 150 max.

I own the ego, I really love it but it’s loud on high speed

I own the ego too, but listening to this on the 2 and 3 settings, doesn’t make it seem like it’s all that quiet
