Just went back and double checked. You are correct, in the video I installed the top spindle upside down, however just checked my tool and it's set properly, I must of noticed it at one point. To install the spindle flange correctly: The bottom flange has two flat cut outs which seats it on the spindle nut. And the top spindle nut has a protruding edge that goes into the disc. I'll pin this comment for others to see.
@@thehousemannwhen putting a cutting (thinner) disc on, the flange holds it on more securely with the flat side down. Won’t get to try my actual cut til tomorrow morning, though..
Did you try installing a slicing disc? The threaded arbor plates should be reversible for thick wheels and thin discs. But, most operator's manuals fail to mention this...
