Thomas Dolby looks like a combination of an English version of Henry Rollins and Johnny Rotten. Sakamoto looked better as an older guy than he did when he was younger, playing an old man. These two guys are legends. RIP Sakamoto.
It makes me sad to think that I won't be able to see Ryuichi Sakamoto and Thomas Dolby together again, whom I love and respect. Considering the sense of loss that he has lost his great talent, this co-starring is precious to him.
My past is littered with eclectic musical styles and so many different acts and yet, Sakamoto san was a constant presence who soothed me and made me happier in this chaos of life. Romance (from the Beauty album) still pulls tears from me and that is a measure of a well composed and performed piece. As with the loss of David Bowie, I feel cheated that I don't have this creative icon in my world.
A survivor of the Battle of Iwo Jima (1945) was found on the island of the same name, not knowing that the war was already over. Even before being carried out to the USA, he developed a PTSD which makes him get aggressive every time he is rounded by people (possibly the sound and flashes of the cameras may remember him the rifles). Decades later, an autograph hunter expects to get an autograph and picture of him. But things go wrong as he did not understand how to approach him with his PTSD.
@@NicolasBahamondes wow its really funny you happened to replied to this around the time you did, I put this song on and passed out with it playing just a few hours before you sent that comment
