Thank you for the upload! The full upload of the Futurista album got taken down, so now this is the only free way on the internet to listen to this beauty of a song!
The nautilus was a submarine, here it tells of a ship, perhaps a cruise ship. The "schermo", the screen, seems to be a portal, instead. The story seem to be not related to Verne.
@@odorifero Thank you for your comment. The Japanese title of this song is “大航海” = “The Age of Discovery”. Sakamoto commented on this song at his Radio “Sound Street” in 1986. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iBLHmCQWJG4.html According to that, this song was inspired by Jules Verne’s novels like “A Trip to the Moon”. I am a big fan of Jules Verne, and this song reminds me of his novel.
@@lastcontinent You're welcome. Italian lyrics sings a not so clear story. "Verso lo schermo" means "towards the screen" or even better "towards the portal". The rest of the text has a little distorced grammar and it's criptical even for a native italian speaker like me. Without the Jules Verne reference the meaning is totally obscure.
