None of you understand the video. The video tries to show that Ryujin had lost her powerfull dance style. If you compare her dancing to earlier eras like dalla dalla or Wannabe you can see the least effort in her dances. Also, the video doesn't compare her to Yuna, but rather compares HER POWER to Yuna's, read well please.
shes definitely losing muscle and precision because of her weight loss, im so scared for her she needs to be kinder to herself bc as someone who knows what dancing feels like while in starvation mode, this is exactly that
ITZY have mentioned that there past choreographies have put a lot of strain on their bodies. They have said that they have experiences of back pain and joint pain. So this new choreography for ‘Cake’ is more easier for the girls. So I can understand Ryujin for taking it slow and recovering. She still dances well and makes the dance look easy.
I don't think that Ryujin lost her power and detail, but I agree that her dance for the Cake challenges looks as if she is in the energy saving mode. Maybe she has some injuries or simply the song is not her vibe at all. When I see her performing other new songs (None of your business or Kill shot), she is very cool. Anyway, I like ITZY and Ryujin is actually my bias. Hope they will do what they love and get support from their fans :)
I mean as a prof. u don't dance whether a song "is your vibe" or not. Also she does show more power when filming for social media, but not as usual tho
ryujins dance style has always been a bit relaxed and it just looked effortless yunas on the other hand in wayyy more sassy and it’s cute u shouldn’t compare them😭😭 for the people in the replies, i wasn’t talking about the creator i was referring more to the commenters because most i had seen at the time were comparing both ryujin and yuna :/
i dont think the creator is comparing them that way... she just means that Ryujin used to put alot of power into her dance and in this clip there isnt that much power being put into the choreo. shes not comparing their style nor is she saying that yuna dances better.
You just don’t get the video tho it’s comparing Yuna’s power to Ryujin not their dancing style and Ryujin’s dancing was way more powerful during their earlier days
ryujin always has a laid back yet will hit in the right moments kind of vibe. She always dances efficiently instead of pushing it 110% at every second, that’s why i love her vibe :,) Plus this song will drain you from doing constant pops at every 2 seconds so i admire her battery saving
Not every dance should be powerful. Ryujin has said choreography is like visualizing the massage and the lyrics into what people can directly see, so i don't think she lost her power but she choose not to be powerful because the lyrics said "it's a piece of cake" and ryujin make the dance really look effortless
That's her style even before effortless swag.. (ryujin Then yuna have aggressive/extra moves like before Even chae mention it in there previous kb.. guesting 🤗
you can still add detail and bare minimum power when youre a "relaxed" dancer. Ryujin isnt, she just might have been having an off-day here bc her dancing wasnt great that performance
Yuna is a very sassy dancer. (its not a bad thing lol). She tends to put tons and tons of energy into all her moves. All the Itzy members have different ways of dancing. We don’t need to compare them when they all have different styles of dancing
@@dollyuii did i say you said she was a bad dancer. You said it's not a bad thing and yeah I agreed with you and it's a good thing. Why are you so pressed?
Everyone had different dance styles, you can't compare members cause they do the movements depending upon their body shape and comfortability....chaeryong literally said that yuna does it differently than all the others cause she has a tendency to move her head a lot.... All the itzy members have their specific way to showcase dance, plus in some of her shots in this video she was singing... Ryu is just as precise and strong, just watch the dance practice video and refrain from making such videos as they increase toxic stans and hate...Let's just support our girls pls I'm saying this as a OT5, i love itzy and all the members so don't misunderstand🤙🏻
@@tenzinyangdon7553 I have problem with the pinned comment and the short as well though ... you said that the creator is comparing the power of the moves between Yuna and Ryu, but that's my point to be exact. I never said anything about the dance... Ryu did the move less powerfully based on her own dance style, which is an effortless smooth chic one, while Yuna does strong and elegant moves better.. compare the power in the Cheshire era and you'll see what they do best. Both Ryu and Yuna have always been powerful dancers, even in this era you can see that in Ryu's rap part where she dances solo she does it much more powerfully than all of the other members.... the chorus is a part that should be done smoothly, Yuna putting a flair of power is just a added on feature that she does to make her style seem more noticable.. try comparing Ryu and Yeji or Chaer and you'll see that smoothness is the feature all of them do more than power for the chorus specifically (Coming from a dancer of 12 years) Anyway, I don't wanna argue... let's just support our girls best because no matter if the creator says hate or no hate, in the end it makes a topic of discussion which snowballs into a comparison and hate train💫👍🏻
She's confident and more.relax now. She's using a swaggy moves that only a pro dancer can do. Like even tho she's relax her movements is like a water flow. You will know literally that she is a pro dancer🎉❤
I feel like her dance style really changed to relaxed and I really like it. It might seem effortless but the starting step of Ryujin is actually very addictive to watch.
I love how yuna has such a energetic dance style with powerful sharp moves while ryujin has a very smooth and relaxed dance style with swaggy movements, they’re both really great dancers
Yuna being younger than them but being able to keep up from debut stands to reason that should would probably surpass tho. She’s arguably one of the best performers in 4th gen.
i dont think she "lost" her power, i think she's just working harder on blending. most of the parts you showed had a different member as center, so she may just be trying to make herself stand out less and blend in more so the focus is on the center. if you make your moves too pronounced when you're not in the center while dancing, it can take the attention away from where it's supposed to be.
Ryujin has this swag, which makes her dance look more masculine. Shes just like a tomboy. Her dance style is relaxed, its so fun to watch her be so relaxed about it. She doesnt put in unnecessary power. Shes so laid back. Obviously, compared to Yuna, she's not gonna be that girly. Shes just amazing! ❤
but the power is nessasary? atleast in this dance it is. ive been a dancer for 6+ years so as i have been in the kpop industry as it is what got me into dancing. you cant deny she has lost power its literally obvious. there is no excuses. she also may have been tired as well so that is understandable but we dont know that. but either way yuna is a better dancer overall
@@hannis_personal_phoneit’s not necessary for this song tho. this song is not as upbeat or strong as their other songs. the lyrics literally say “it’s a piece of cake” i think ryujin just wants to convey a chill message through the choreo. i don’t agree w yuna being a better dancer at all. i think she’s really captivating, but ryujin is the better dancer and honestly better at matching the mood of the choreo to the song
Ryujin always had a swag in her style. Rather than giving power to her moves she takes them smoothly and adds those pops and locks to make them look cleaner satisfying and effortless.
if you watch her recent videos where she covering other dances you'll see that she has not lost anything power detail or smth. cake is kinda easy for her style lol
I like to think girlie is just tired asf of her job lol. I can't stop thinking about how Ryujin mentioned she just wants more bonus with her pay in that one interview.
Yeah her movements look a bit more chill in this video but she could be having a bad day? It's kinda unfair to say she lost her power based on just one video. Nobody can be 100% power everyday
Ryujin is 1.65m and Yuna is 1.72m. Of course Yuna needs to squat down sometimes and do every move with more power to make their GROUP dance look in sync
She has definitely had a big change in the way she dances. I feel like she stands out more because she puts in less effort and looks like she doesn’t really care
i feel like this is more abt Ryunjin’s personal dance style i dont know much abt dancing but i see her most of the time dance in the “saving energy” mode, it’s hard to explain but like she would remove all the unnesscesary movements as much as possible
Ryujin has always been an under dancer. It’s great Yuna continues to improve with age. She was so young when she debuted but had just gotten better and better.
ryujin knows where to emphasize her movement. shes got a lot of swagger and i believe focuses more now on the technique. here lines have also improved and she completes pretty much every movement.
I actually love when she dances this way! Not too exaggerated and you can still see how controlled her movements are! Like she's relaxed while not missing any steps and snaps!
Not a fan of them, but I believe she’s dancing her own interpretation of the song. Her moves were like tomboyish while Yuna’s like a girly cheerleader. At least they’re showing anyone can dance their song in their own styles☺️
i observed that ryujin's main dance weakness is bigger movements/spatial awareness like her arms are always close to her body, and her dance style is rly laid back and popping
Ryujin style is smooth while Yuma style is more marked and powerful if you see other dances ryujin still has that powerful movements but it make it look a lot smoother that’s why when dancing she looks more different than the other members.
I think she just chose not to be as sassy as yuna, not that yuna's dancing style is bad at all, but in general ryujin has always had a cool, relaxed dancing style that she probably thought matched good with the song
That's her style chill, but very complete, what i like about Itzy is the fact that ypu can see their personalities in the way they dance, and that means each member already found the style.
ryujin and yuna have always been polar opposites in their dancing styles. ryujin being more relaxed and yuna showcasing more body lines. I dont think ryujin has lost any energy, all the itzy girls have different dance styles and I think its taken people some time to notice.
ryujin doesn't need "a lot of power", she has great body control and does things effortlessly while still keeping her technique. she will always be praised by actual professional dancers and the GP. and the people in the comments finding every way to bring up her weight is WEIRD, its been over 2 years. this video is dumb because your slo-mo didn't prove anything at all, ryujin still hit the details, she simply has a different dance style that gets praised constantly. the fact that you won't take this down is pathetic.
The way you proved yourself wrong with the slow motion.😭 Ryujin's chest isolation and pop +the body wave are even more prominent in slowmo, how can she lose her details then? This is so ridiculous.😂
Her dance just seems relaxed which can't be copied lol😂 cuz she dances to cake just the way it should be, piece of cake 😂 I wanna dance like her, angst in subtleness
I actually like ryujins style better. Dancing is not always about powerfull moves but is about control and style and i just feel ryujins Crazy body Control through her dancing. I actually think she captures the vibe of the song really well.
You guys cry over idols mental health then point out moments like this. Shes just a human, stop holding idols up on a pedestal. And theres no doubt ryujin is one of the best performers in kpop
no she didn’t, she can’t go hard on a easy dance yes ik it’s not easy easy but compared to their hard dances ofc she has to go hard on wannabe, dalla dalla, icy etc. she just has a calm dancing style when it’s easier dances. look at her dancing to bouncy by ateez she still has it but that’s cuz it’s a dance that needs more power then cake does
As a dancer who also took note of Ryujin since Dalla Dalla era, it's just her style (or personal flair?) of dancing. I would call it the 'clean' style; where you could see every movement clearly without the power and sharpness. I would say Ryujin is the only member who actually get every small details of the movements and controls/isolates her body best (another example I can think of is during their Wannabe dance practice). That's my personal take. and power does not equal detailed all the time :)
Something that I noticed about ryujin is that when she's only dancing she's very powerful but when it comes to the actual it's less powerful ig bc she's going to be out of breath and she needs that breath to actually. You can compare any Loco or Swipe perf to dance practice or studio solo dance and you can notice the difference. She's so powerful when it comes to dancing that she needs to save some energy in order to sing properly I guess😭💕
I don’t even recognize her lately she doesn’t look like she’s having fun she doesn’t look that invested idk if she just hates Cake or what but she’s just kind of a shell of what she used to show
Ryujin's dance style is relaxed and effortless. Yuna's dance style is adjusting to her youthness and her physique that's why her movement looked big, she's the Tzuyu in itzy. If you want to comment about power. Talk about Yeji, she has the most powerfull dancing skill in itzy. Even she was surprised at how powerfull her dancing is😂
If you follow cake's bts, ryujin shares that she pays close attention to the details in the dance, paying attention to the fast or slow rhythm of each member. and you're not a dance expert, so...👋
@@jariesmusicbeats1323well no sh*t she’s fu*king tired. wth do you expect when all they’ve been doing is work and trying to make people like YOU happy?
Now that you mention it, yeah. Even though she always had a laid back energy, in Dalla Dalla/Wannabe/Icy/Not Shy - she potrayed her moves with more energy like Yuna. But here her dance style seems more relaxed and I think ir makes her look cool for this type of choreo haha I guess she is trying a new style and still make it look cool❤
