Dlss is better in terms of quality, but you have to consider that dlss is exclusive the Nvidia GPUs, while Fsr is open source and can be used on basically any GPU, which helps people with older GPUs get better FPS
You can get that config for 1250€ and play in 4K high so it's still pretty good. Obviously if you want a really budget pc you'll get a R5 5600, 16Gb DDR4 and an RX 6600 😂
I’m not sure where the idea that a “7600 with a 7900 GRE is a budget machine” came from lol. Even cutting costs on other components like the case or SSD, you still end up spending about $1200, which is not budget-friendly. A budget PC is like $800 in my mind. This is easily into the midrange.
if you read the actual title you would know this is a budget "1440p" pc build which actually is the nearly the best 1440p combo the only difference id change is to a 7800xt so in a way this titles still wrong
I mean FFS you are getting over 200fps in CS and you say its "not really ideal". Guys come on lol. The 7600x is such a good cpu, not everyone has the cash to buy the best cpu available for gaming which is the 7800x3d. These are hardly cpu bottlenecks
While it's not ideal experience in CS2 (which is true), overall the 7600X is a good CPU. And I said as much. Even in CS2 the experience was very nice. Furthermore, I've very much enjoyed playing other games on this PC. I kept using the 7600X off camera. Didn't have any desire to switch to a more powerful i7 14700KF that I have in my second testing PC.
the only time u'll ever need a 7800x3d is when you have rtx4080 and above class of GPU. and thats also if u're planning to play on 1080p. people keeps buying up 7800x3d like it'll magically make your rx6600 runs faster and gives you more fps.
Also I can't stand people that use bottleneck calculators the wrong way. It's just a tool to help you see if your combo is ok. But a lot of people don't use the good settings on those bottleneck calculators and it gives them like 35% CPU bottleneck with a 7600 and 7900 GRE in 1440p ☠️
I have this exact combo (well, a 7600 using PBO and a 7900 GRE) and it shreds 1440p. In Starfield, I get an average of over 100 FPS on planets and about 85 FPS in cities on 1440p Ultra. Excellent CPU and GPU pairing. I will say I wouldn’t consider this a “budget” or “casual” gamer build as the GPU competes with a 4070 TI/Super and that sits at the mid range. Budget/casual would be something more along the lines of an RX 7600/7700 or a 4060/4060 TI which are much cheaper and casual budget friendly.
I'm personally running a 7800X3D with a GT730 (+125 core oc / 250 memory oc) Runs cyverpunk at a smooth 15 fps at lowest settings in 720p. (yes this is true. I had a 7800XT that had a defect, so I'm running this temporarily)
I hope you'll get your GPU repaired or replaced soon🙂 No AAA gaming for now then🫡 GeForce Now is not too bad if your gaming itch gets too intensive. I've used it in the past and it was quite good. Enjoyable. As long as you have a fast internet connection.
@@theivadim Blender qwq I do a lot of work in blender and unity, nvidia jut performs better. I do gaming only like 10% of the time, so I'm probaby better off with nvidia. On top on just work, I also enjoy raytracing in most games. Also, the 7900XT would be my other option for a new GPU, but it costs me 50€ more than a 4070 ti (the 4070 ti design from gigabyt also fits int omy build better)
Nice to see a more objective analysis from you on this card. I think your last video on this card annoyed some people since you seemed to nitpick things.
I just stated my observations. Same as always. I have a few more topics to cover featuring the 7900 GRE. By the way, I appreciate you watching out my videos!🤝🙂
7800X3D is worth it imo. I myself am planning to build a PC with it mostly because I really wanna have a smooth experience on Escape from Tarkov which is a nightmare for almost any CPU that ain't an X3D
Yeah. I remember 1.0 running OK on Ryzen 5 5600X. I think it is still a good game to use as a worst case scenario example. There will be other games like this in the future.

ive got a 165 hz 1080p monitor so i think this should be great for 1080p ultra gaming😁 im getting drafted in one year, so im realy looking for somthing more value based that i can upgrade later on.. so 7600x should be great since it puts me on am5.
I feel you. Germany has like the world highest price for power. Got the RTX 4080 Super, only draws around 280W but has so much more power than a RX 7900 GRE or even RX 7900XT.
Brilliant video mate, liked and subscribed. in your opinion, should i get ryzen 7 7800x3d instead of ryzen 5 7600x? I would certainly take the same graphic card as in the video, rx 7900 gre.
I'm glad you found the video helpful🙂 If you can afford it then get the 7800X3D. It'll deliver zero-compromise experience on the CPU side of things. The 7600X does have some limitations as shown in the video at 6:03
I just ordered today 7900gre and im hyped but im still rocking on AM4 platform with my R9 3900x and playing most of the time 1440p or 4K soo i think ill be fine at least for now what do you think:
I Played cyberpunk on my friends setup and he use r9 3950 with samé 7900gre and every single game he Played the fps was amazing the cyberpunk at ultra was around 88 to 100 fps cant belived how good that 7900gre work in all those Aaa games i love raster performance of this cart thats why i order samé gpu lets bé honest i would not upgrade from my Rtx 3070 IF it wasnt háve that stupid 8gb of wram cuz i love 3070 great cart and RT performance isnt that bad but damn only IF they made Rtx 3070 12 GB that woukd bé nice sadly greedia has allways different ideas how to fucked with People that buy their products but well thats greedia in a nutsheel. Im pretty sure there is not gonna bé bottleneck at 1440p or higher and this cart háve 16gb of wram soo there is gonna bé enough power to play any new game at ultra settings at 1440p. What it comes to RT i dont care cuz i dont use it on my Rtx 3070 as well cuz that cart dont háve enough power to pull good fps and this new cart as we know AMD the RT isnt their Best think plus fsr 3.0 isnt good as dlss but well enough to give some boost but damn that new frame gen at fsr 3.0 is insaine man just perfection. But lets bé clear i love Aaa games and if i play game at fps abowe 60 and what is main thing game gonna run smooth im sold on that plus the. New helldivers 2 give3me headaches on my Rtx 3070 runs poorly on native 1440p resolutuon plus ultra settings barelky 60 fps and on extrem difficulty game drop to high 30s soo nôt good so i have to force game to run in direct x 11 and game run well abowe 80 fps but this was and is just temporary solution and thats why i choose to upgrade damn my intire PC i started upgrade but its getting slowly dont want drop all my money on PC and i Will not upgrade CPU cuz IF i Will i definitelly going to am5 the am4 is for mé dead end im not gonna buy expensive 5800x3d cuz in samé games its even. Worse tha my old CPU. IF i upgrade i need new ram 6000mhz the new mobo Best would bé asus with quick release gpu slot and new CPU and that would bé ryzen 7700x or 7800x3d but fuck mé that is expensive and if i do that i need new cooler for CPU thats woukd bé another 100 eur and just Like that that woukd bé more expensive than gpu it self. Sooo yes Rtx 3070 is for sale now it serve mé well i love it, but im gonna do what dit one dude for mé 2 years back he buy new gpu and sold mé his barelky used Rtx 3070 for 300 eur and thats give mé chan e to play all games i wanted and i love it, so now i gonna give this gpu away for mutch cheaper than what he give mé that cart and maybe i can make someone happy samé as i was i even repaste it with thermal grizzy kryonaut but damn i dont realize at the tíme i should replace thermal pads as well hut i was lazy ass😂 but after repaste cart drop around 20 deg on Temperature so that was huge succes for me. I hope i can make happy samé as i was. Also nece videos mate thx for benchmark
Yeah, 8GB on the RTX 3070 was a dick move from NVIDIA. It looked super jank when they launched the 12GB RTX 3060😄 As for your CPU, sounds like it can hold up pretty well paired with the 7900 GRE. Enjoy your upgrade! I think you'll be happy with the raw performance the 7900 GRE delivers. Just don't forget to use DDU on your PC to get rid of all previous driver leftovers before installing AMD drivers. Sometimes a fresh driver instal makes a huge difference in terms of stability and gameplay smoothness.
@@theivadim thx mate yeah i know i use DDU before and its night and Day after you do fresh reinstal or when y changing gpu but im still waiting for that 7900gre it will arrive tomorrow morning i just wonder IF DDU WILL delete nvidia g force experience ad well well i guess we find out.
Also, it is easier to cap in game menu while you tweak other settings anyways. Unfortunately, not every game has an FPS limiter as an option. Very few of the latest AAA do, in fact.
Not on every game, the rivaturner FPS is buttery smooth while some games let FPS go to 62 for example even though you limited to 60 so it's less smooth in the end.
@@theivadim Yes, FPS is really important to me. I also want to play other games like RDR2 and GTA 5 using normal graphics. The thing is i always want the option to play other games using high graphics with decent FPS, but I will never do so.
Well, what you should keep in mind then is that the 7800X3D will deliver higher max FPS in games that are not very GPU demanding. Like esports games using low or medium settings. The 7600X is a budget friendly solution that requires compromises in some cases. Like reducing crowd density in Cyberpunk 2077 for example. Get the 7800X3D if you want a zero-compromise experience on the CPU side of things.
Any game which cross 12 GB VRAM? As 7900 GRE and RTX 4070 Super are same price in my country, which should I get , I will keep this for 5 years. Also I mainly play RPG games mostly.
Great video love it. Just unsure about 7600x vs 7800x3d. Esport game like cs2 play much. It looks like a cpu bottleneck. I will play at 1440p. Can see on your video just utilize like +-60% gpu. Thats bad. And i have a golden 80+ psu 650watt is that enough for this? 7600x/7800x3d-7900gre?ty
As a entry level gamer, who did some research, I would suggest buying 850 watt if your GPU is 7800xt or 7900GRE coupled with 7600x. 650W is completely not recommended.
Get at least 700W. I'd go for 850W as well. It's just a little bit more money compared to a 700W PSU and it's totally worth it to have peace of mind and flexibility for future upgrades.
@@theivadimSo true what you say. I did buy asus 850watt gold psu. And then its a little future proof also. Did see that 7900gre can max peek power 485watts. So you are right there. Thanks help me out. 👍 Very good video. 👏
Vadim, do you think you can rewiev the Acer Nitro XV252QF? I'd love to see more monitor rewievs from you and that's one I've been looking to buy, so why not suggest it
I'd love to, but it is unlikely to happen. I don't have any contacts with Acer to request a review sample and I don't make enough money to buy it myself. However, as the channel grows I do want to try doing monitor reviews in the future.
7600x. higher boost clock and that cache helps out a lot. But it pretty much depends on what games; if they're simulation games, intel can win with those higher core counts, but overall for gaming, the amd cpu will be a better choice.
It has bottleneck at 1440p. So, we don't need to test this PC at 1080p to conclude that bottleneck will be even worse. The only question is - by how much?
@@Abdullah-cb4np Its not a bad bottleneck in GPU demanding games. But if you're playing the GPU demanding single player games you should be playing at 1440p or 4k so 1080p is not optimal for this pairing
bro you have very bad performance . on this config in 2k having 200 fps, and 125 max 135 ultra all games.. and if i go make overclock to cpu and gpu, the performance get up +
You stream using CPU encoding in 2024? I'd recommend moving to AV1 or NVENC media engine that is included on all modern GPUs. But for CPU streaming of corse there's not much compute power left in the 6-core 7600X🙂
That's what I'd do. It has AV1 which is great. However, I'm not a streamer. So, I'd double check with someone who actually has experience with this kind of stuff.
Currently I have a corsair cx650m powering an i5 11400f paired with an gtx 1660 super, I'm thinking bout get this rx 7900 gre should I get a new PSU with 750w or 850w?
old 5800x3d is much faster than 7600x in cp2077, people think those two are similar but they are not, x3d works its magic in those cpu demanding situations. Its more efficent as well, mine dont need more than 50 to 65w to work on max clocks. Why you stopped at the enterance of that forest :) Only few metears down the path lies the truth..
I've not had the 5800X3D. I hope I'll get a chance to test it one of these days. Is that the CPU you use? About Hellblade 2: for real? I'll have to keep on walking further next time then🙂
@@theivadim yea just take few more steps down in the forest and you will see how powerfull/weak your GPU is.. Its late for 5800x3d, there will be good deals on 7800x3d which is quite faster and more efficient. 5700x3d could be nice upgrade for someone with older cpu..
@@TheKims82 if you wont i will make you video in the same area with 5800x3d and 7800xt and you will see it will never be under 70 fps on same settings.
@@TheKims82 its done, same place, same settings only gpu is 7800xt and 5800x3d. check in few mins to se how huge difference is with x3d cpu.. I had 5700x and 5600 and trust me difference is huge in many multi player games, racing games and cpu demanding situations like this one in cp2077.
Locking FPS doesn't create additional input lag. It just locks your system at the responsiveness level associated with the FPS you lock it to. Imho, it's worth it for single-player games where framerate smoothness has higher priority and delivers the best visual experience.
Well iVadim bro i am confused between Asrock b650m Pro RS Wifi and MSI b650m Gaming Plus Wifi White, well i know you already tested both motherboard and can you please recommend best which will be best for ryzen 5 7600x or upcoming 5 9600x, in term of everything. the prices of both motherboard is same in me region. i want to build white them pc. which motherboard should i take or recommend be better one within same prices as these are having
I prefer the MSI board. Its just a little bit nicer. Bigger VRM heatsink and more power to the CPU which is good for potential future updates and overclocks. But it's not white. It's silver colour. However, if I remember correctly the ASRock motherboard is silver as well.
@@theivadim Thanks a lots brother, Well is there any good white motherboard under 150 US Dollar for white pc build. Well can you rate My White Colour Pc Configuration - Ryzen 5 7600x. Rx 7900 Gre Sapphire Pure. Ram - Adada XPG Lancer 2x16gb 6000mhz CL 30, White. AIO - Ant eSports Ice Glow 360 White. Case - Ant eSports Crystal ARGB White. PSU - Deepcool DQ750-M, Black 750watt. Acer EI322QK 31.5inch 4k 60hz monitor. Adada XPG Blade70 1tb M.2 N.V.M.E SSD. Motherboard - MSI B650m Gaming Plus White, or you recommend me the best white low budget motherboard. is there anything you want me to change, also i am waiting for ryzen 5 9600x.
For 150? Not really. MSI b650m Gaming Plus Wifi is probably the best option. Properly white-themed mobos are $180+. Like GIGABYTE B650 AORUS Elite AX ICE or ASRock B650 Steel Legend WiFi. Your build looks fine. I can't say anything about RAM compatibility. That's the only thing you should check on your motherboard's official website. Sometimes RAM from certain manufacturers can be not compatible with some motherboards. Once you pick your motherboard, get that compatibility checked and you're good to go!👍 Enjoy your new build!
@@theivadim Thanks a lot again, i will follow what you said.. Can you Test Rx 7900 Gre + Ryzen 5 7600x at 4k and also please overclock the gpu and check how much exactly the performance gain over stock. please in next video
We'll see how much I'll be able to do with the 7900 GRE before I have to return it. I'm also interested in how much we can squeeze out of it with overclocking. But you should bear in mind that these chips may greatly vary in quality. So, whatever GPU chip I got in my card could be much better or worse than what you'll get. I suspect that AMD might be using low-quality chips in the 7900 GRE. Otherwise, why not clock it higher out of the box like they do with other SKUs?
Expect similar results in CPU bottleneck scenarios you've seen in this video. But you will get more FPS in GPU demanding games thanks to the more powerful RTX 4080. I'd count it as a win. If choice is between pairing the RTX 4080 with the R5 7600 and downgrading the GPU because of spending more on a more powerful CPU, then I'd pick the RTX 4080 + Ryzen 5 7600.
D@mn these GPU's Suck soo much Wattage! My Daikin Split type aircon can consume as low as 100w while Avg @ 150w. While Mid to high Tier Gpu's 300w++... In our Country (The Philippines) Electric Price expensive could reach about $0.25/Kw -$ 0.30 rn, without saying how expensive GPU's here, Mostly priced 50%-200% more of the current US Market Pricing.
