In this test 5800X spent way more power than it should... Mine are almost half of that (with little bit of undervolt) and have steady clock of 4850 MHz ..
@@ivanjeremic3987 Well it depends. CP77 for example after the Phantom Liberty DLC they made it heavily CPU intensive where my 5800X gets 70%+ CPU usage at QHD where Im having 105W - 120W but also have each core to run at 4.85 GHz constantly due to PBO with Curve Optimizer on -22. Other than that you are correct as he has 100W+ even at 30% CPU usage and thats where I have around 70-80W and lower temps. But even with Curve Optimizer, I dont think he will achieve 4.85 GHz and lower temps as hes running an Air Cooler by be quiet meanwhile I run Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 ARGB. Its possible but cant confirm nor deny it
He uses a 4090 but he probably filmed the footage of himself showing the settings while he was testing a 3070 so he doesnt have to record himself showing the settings again
X3D. CS and Dota are CPU heavy games, which strongly benefit from the increased L3 Cache. And its only 180€ now. I'd recommend going AM5 though, if you don't already have a AM4 Motherboard.
@@DeivixLV no, AM5 is a stable platform, just choose the right mainbord, good PSU and a nice kit of AMD compatible RAM. upgrade the BIOS of your mainboard and set the RAM speed to the correct value. every platform has it's quirks. But you need to know what your doing.
@@NoName-oj5km I have a am4 build (ryzen 3 3200g and an rx 580) I'm looking to upgrade this for some 3d work as in Maya and unreal... Was eyeing the 5700x3d and the 5800x, any idea which one will be better for those 3d softwares? I will be getting an nvidia card later too
I'd say 5800X, more raw horsepower, as far as I know professional application don't benefit as much from chache, since latency isn't something you need to consider. Got a 5800X myself, but I only use it for gaming, so I saddly can't give a review in that regard. Got it before they came out with their fancy shmancy X3D CPUs ;)@@sabinandrews7421
there is huge effect of rtx 4090. If you try 1440p with rx 6700xt or 6800xt or etc gpu's it will be almost no difference beetween this cpus so in my opinion r7 5700x is better with 150$.
@@thefilmdirector1if you game on 720p with anything> 2016 you are doing it wrong. And 1080p low is kinda dumb with a nice card like a 6700xt. A 5700x is a perfect match for those cards, it certainly isn't for a 4090 like in the comparison
@@kazuviking that makes is a really good cpu benchmark especially for single core performance. why do you think people add hogwarts legacy, becuase its a good game? its becuase its unoptimized garbage😅I bet you use an alienware computer ahaha.
@@davo4074 Except isnt. Tarkov is wasting cpu and gpu cycles and ram/vram leaks. Judging by your comment you are not older than 16 and use the pc your parent bought.
@@kazuviking why so much hate?. There a lot of garbage coded games that have special cpu needs. IE if you play wow all day long, a x3d is a champ, if you play single player AAA and like to crank graphic settings, a regular 5700x could be enough and you can save big $$$
Normally yeah, but the average price for 5700x3d is ~$200 on Amazon, ~$150 on AliExpress. 5800x3d starts at ~$300 everywhere. Not worth the price/performance in my opinion.
I have am4 motherboard .i want to upgrade from 5600g. Im confused which one should i buy 5700x3d or 5800x. Because they are almost in same price in my area😢
Like the Lad said, not only average, you should also aim toward power consumption, temperatures, 0.1% lows, the max it gets, and the frequencies that they are running
no, it's not fake. Only when showing the graphics settings they reuse the clip from other videos, since sometimes the settings are the same, in that case they save the time of recording the screen again and simply upload an already used clip.
