Rza's solo projects and scores are classic beats that you can tell he took his time & put in maximum effort. You can really hear all the live instruments, crazy sound effects, and samples that come together in an unorthodox style which is why RZA stands alone. People say that Wu-Tang Clans albums after the 4ever double cd fell off. Idt so the beats are just more complex & different than the commercial radio horse shit. Just to name a few- Ghost Dog, Afro Samurai Soundtracks, Bobby Digital, and Rza's Birth of a Prince albums. Those are just a few and there all Razor⚔️Sharp. Real Hip Hop Headz know wtf I'm talking bout! 🙌 ✌️God
thats soo dope! Soul was killed by rock then soul came back and infused with rock and all other elements and genre's that ever existed to create HIP-HOP!!!
I know that got me shook. Always been a fan of the Abbott and love Afro Samurai; glad I found this video cause it made me respect him even more and appreciate Afro more also. Who else but the Razor would be sharp enough to whittle such profound meaning out of scoring an anime? RZA/GZA remain the greatest minds in hip hop; Wu Tang Forever.
I laughed at that, but I didn't know how to actually feel about it, if that makes sense. Maybe he felt it'd be weird to give him CDs of the other references and then be like, "Oh, yeah, and Wu-Tang Clan."
It is common to let producers know what sound got them the gig, so they can easely tune in to what sound they are looking for. With a cataloge like RZA there is so much music with such a broad span that it might be hard even to him to really remember evry section of every track, but the second he hear it he will instantly know where all the sounds came from and really get that feeling of the entire production.
RIGHT!? Lol I find his impediment extremely endearing and it helped him emcee cause you ALWAYS know when the Razor has the mic lol. My personal favorite is how he says "hospital" haha
Afro Samurai is a rare fushion in anime that's very accessible; I think you'd like it. The Boondocks is another anime fused heavily with US culture, though it's more of a thought provoking comedy that a killa v killa chop socky flic
du0t0ne that track didn't make the cut but was used on Wu-Tangs last group album called 8 Diagrams. The title is Starter. Don't recall if Talibs verse is still on there though. Hope that helps.
The fanatic voice he used for their reaction of Razz's concept was ficking hilarious. If it were another artist, it would probably come off as cringey, but it's the fucking RZA. Geek the fuck out, dogg.
the beat at 02:29 that beat is from the "wu-tang killa beez - the sting" album but it on the limited edition bonus cd called "rza beat" it's just an instrumental but it goes a little slower -n- if you have the killa beez album that came out in 2002, then it's on there kid
Most genres are requested by many very talented artists today but in terms of popular music there really isn't anything interesting going on in rock music. Hip hop is still innovating but popular rock music has been pretty tired for a while and is kind of just getting absorbed into other genres. Maybe something fresh that you could call rock will come along but right now anything good is relatively obscure.
