This is the Full Featured (Long) Version of the short version by the same title previously published on this channel. This full featured version has been transferred from my Vimeo channel as I am in the process of closing my Vimeo account.
In this video, I tack and weld the components that were cut to length in Part 1 to make up the boat stand base. I then fabricate the parts to make a tilting and swiveling pad that mounts on the top of the stand, completing the project.
VERY IMPORTANT: Do not forget to “like,” subscribe (“ring the bell”), and share this video! A few simple clicks from you will cost you nothing, and really helps my channel. Many thanks if you are willing to help me out this way.

Great Job retrofitting. So far you are the only guy I can find on building/modifying some stands. I'm starting from scratch on min My sail boat a Nordica 16 is only 900lbs so I'll be using lightweight material. for the screw jack part. I'll probably build fasteners on the sleeve that holds the screw so I can attach that to wooden leg frames made of 2x4s. That way I can just toss them when I'm done and keep the important part for compatibility.

Good luck with your project. I hope it works out well for you. 👍👍👍

Where did you get your acme threaded rods from? I have no idea where I can start looking for some of those.

Mine came from a bunch of large size, homemade boat stands that were given to me. You can get them through Fastenal but they are very expensive from them.

@@shoestringshipyardsailing9681 Yeah, that's my problem, I can weld great but finding materials for cheap is hard sometimes. I'm thinking of just building a wooden boat cradle so I can do trailer repairs.
