Yeah definitely should go active again, even just to update the reviews. The price factors, value factors, are even more noticeable now. SHF clearly gives more bang for the buck now that BS offers limited accessories, yet higher prices. Great point! (I did break down and order two Darth Malgus figures) I may come back to at last show/review that.

Which do you favor? The Black Series? I just wish the Black Series one had the same lightsaber/lightsaber hilt and that they both came with his dark walnut colored cloaks. It’s tough comparing them.

The value part of it is very important too. $18-$23 vs $45-$75, however I love a lot of the SHF accessories and his evil face. Vader face. Ty so much for commenting! I really appreciate it. Thanks for watching and commenting! Well with Hasbro now using that Faceprint technology and when you factor in the price differences..that's why I couldn't decide. I love both. Clearly SHF have better accessories and paint apps on them. I've done !any reviews of both. Looking forward to the remake of the ROTJ Darth Vader. That looks amazing. I still love their butterfly ball joint articulation system that they use in the hip & shoulder joints. I have a quite a few SHF figures in my All Things Star Wars Playlist, if interested. I do know one thing...they always retain their value or go up in value. SHF & Mafex are excellent. So yeah it's hard to decide though if factoring in value and budget. When you take that away, the Japanese figures whether SHF or Mafex-Medicom always seem to have a leg up..so to speak. I did a Best of the Best Darth Vader figures (to date, will get updated as new ones come out) & went brand by brand then overall. Anyway sorry for the long reply. I always appreciate comments and try to get back to people! I'm just happy to have both Anakins. Looking forward to the new Vader from SHF. The paint apps and design look flawless.

calsak not really the face does not look like Hayden but the black archive is pretty damn close to Hayden

@@oldbaby2304 I think they both don't look like Hayden. The sith eyes face from figuarts is probably the closest one though. Actually, I think the best anakin face in this scale is the ep2 version from figuarts. Really wish they just used that sculpt and added new hair peices for ep3 version.

I believe SHF is a mixed bag. Some are absolutely perfect imo, however you can get two of the same figure and one be loose and one with tight articulation. I’d say Black Series is more sturdy. That said, it’s less poseable and of course these days you can’t even see the figures before buying due to the new packaging. I still think the best bet is SHF, when prices are not considered. You get more for your money. Going all out on the (overpriced) bs Darth Malgus though, lol. Too hard to resist.

Yeah I wish somehow we could combine all three brands but then again they’d just cost as much as Sideshow and the like, lol. Thanks for commenting. I think the BS anakin is great but looks like he got the flu with the dark side, but as you said the SHF has the height issue. Such a great addiction though! Tbh I love pretty much anything Anakin/Vader/Sith related. Although I think the “deluxe” Darth Malgus is a letdown since when they first showed it, they implied he’d have his young, pale, bald head in there as well as the scarred one. They also said the mask would be removable which is impossible without removing his head, which clearly wasn’t designed to be removed. Yikes sorry went on a tangent. I just wish it had come with the robe. I agree, that face...heck that’s scene where he turns his head after slaughtering the remaining Separatist leaders was chilling. I think ROTS never gets enough love. That was a good movie. Just watched it on my new 4K HDR tv to test it and wow does this movie hold up! I think the value part makes a big difference. I have to start making reviews again. Hundreds of things to review, but got a bit down about it all so went to just playing lots of games, lol. Good call on the faces! If only I could mix the two together, they’d make for the perfect Anakin figure for this scale.

Robert Bruffett Thanks so much for watching and commenting! It’s appreciated! Looks like the BSA will win the vote! I agree. I wish they’d make CLOAKS for them, though. All of them! It is tough having to buy them for $12-$30 more on eBay just to hook them up with a good cloak. I’m still tied on which I like best, there’s so much to like about both, SHF has the articulation and the amazingly well made lightsabers, but as you point out, using the new 3D faceprint tech, Hasbro is really stepping it up! I mean, you can even see the sheen of his sweat. I also like real cloth goods mixed in with the PVC that honestly feels like real leather. Only main issue is yellow eyes don’t stand out as much as I’d like and his skin is slightly too pale, the other has more lifelike painting, but I agree BSA looks more like Hayden. Both are amazing, but when you factor in that one costs $17.99-$23.99(depending on where you get it) and the other is $45-$75 depending on condition and where you get it...that’s a big value difference. I really do detest the BSA lightsaber though. If you have a chance, check my pinned comment or the description area and you will see links to the full reviews of each individually. You’ll be able to see the sponginess of the BSA lightsaber. For the price though...I’m starting to agree although I love everything Vader related and in this I believe he’s more meant to be Vader than Anakin. Yellow eyes kind of gives t away, lol. My personal opinion would definitely be the SHFiguarts one. They never seem to decrease in value and there are many Black Series Anakin figures available, most stores even have them. For that reason, I'd say SHF. However from a design and quality perspective, I'm still torn, despite the excellent comments above. Thanks for watching and commenting! I’ve cut back on SHF. For the effort and time plus money compared to what Black Series is putting out lately...I’ll lean the same way as well. Mafex is still nice, there are some great figures from there, but prices are so high and that definitely has to be added as a factor when deciding. It is quite odd about the AOTC Anakin. Maybe his dislike of sand shrunk him, lol.
