S.H.Figuarts King Joe!
As a whole I think King Joe turned out to be absolutely fantastic. The sculpt is well done, the paint apps are clean and crisp, and he has a great range of articulation. If there is one thing I think might be a little off on this figure, I think the paint apps should be a little bit darker.In the end, this figure is defiantly very nice, very neat, and very cool. I highly recommend this figure.

Fantastic review! The knees actually are double jointed you just need to work with them a bit, though. The Soul of Chogokin King Joe may be able to transform but it is no where near the poseabilty of this one. I use NECA's Gypsy Danger tanker accessory which scales pretty well.

I love Robot type figures when it comes to Figma/Figuarts as the joints/seams always look so much more natural. The color apps really look "metal" too. Great figure! Glad to see it reissued.

2:13I guess it is because of producing. The=is is removable because those thingies are sculpted in an angle. If it is not removable, it would be difficult to remove it from the mould.

Maybe could have come with an Eldricth Shot effect part or even the Pedanium Launcher that can replace the right arm. (Like in Ultraman Victory's King Joe Custom)

All these ultra monster figures look really good, but... The lack of effect parts on most of them is a deal breaker for me. Metron is my favorite monster so I'll probably get him, and I like the table, but considering how much effect parts every ultra act came with, it's really disappointing. I was hoping King Joe would be where they change that :(

It probably exists but you could just get another king joe rip off a hand and replace it with a custom gun hand and paint it black with gold trim.

The lack of articulation means extra accessories should be a must. But to not give him any feels like a rip off. This guy is just to expensive for what you get.

I guess your right about that. But still, that would have been cool for the figure to do that or at least have little minifigures of the ships that assemble into King Joe.

Implementing those gimmicks may compromise the figure articulations and the "seamless" look to emulate the 60's suit, which pretty much contradicts the concept of bringing the character into the Ultraman SH. Figuarts line. In fact even the SOC counterpart had so little hip articulation since they had to accommodate enough space for the shins to be folded and stored into them, unless Bandai decided to just cheat with parts-swapping.
