hopefully they release an anguirus and showa ghidorah to go with him and gigan!! loving the quality these showa figures have been deservingly getting. love the review as always hope all is well! 🙏🏻
Glad ya enjoyed it, fam! And yeah, a full VS Gigan set would be great! Would extra love a Godzilla 1973 (with 74 and 75 heads) to go alongside that Jet… and hopefully Megalon!!
The word you were looking for at the end describing why it's good for both hiya and bandai to make articulated figures is: Innovation. Having 2 companies make good figures drives innovation. Which is something we need in our toy lines so they stay fresh. What do you think Rob?
When you pointed out the off center eye I thought it was how it was supposed to be thanks to the eyes on this suit being wonky sometimes mainly the poster but I love this suit and when we get a repaint which we might get we need a. Damaged head and maybe beam affect from the smog monster film . Nice review as always Rob keep doing you.
Epic. This (and 1974) Godzilla are my childhood variants of Godzilla. Or to put it more simply, I watched Godzilla vs Gigan and Godzilla vs MechaGodzilla as my first Godzilla movies to watch a very long time as a double VHS set back when I was a kid. It's so cool to see this Godzilla from Godzilla vs Gigan be made into a S.H. MonsterArts figure.
@@ShinRobjira Everytime a new company makes Godzilla figures, and it's not just MV, it's always HEISEI 😭😭😭😭😭 I'm so sick of Heisei lol, Godzilla has so many unique other designs! Although tbf, I do need a Burning figure, so hopefully Hiya does that soon 😊
Have you ever thought about picking up any EZHOBI figures like the shin goji or any of the other ones? I will admit they are way out of budget but I would love to see them
Very much out of my current budget, but let me say... If i ever made over 2 grand on RU-vid lol THAT SHIN GODZILLA WOULD BE MY FIRST PICK. 1 Hour Long Review Worthy.
Lovely figure! I want to bite but that price.. I’m gonna hold out hope for a sale cause this guy looks amazing and is my favorite version of Showa Goji
If it included some Manga word bubbles this would have Ben a perfect release lol; but seriously though he's one my favorite showa gojis and I need him.
I hope shma does a "deluxe" showa godzilla (preferably 1974) That would come with a flight stand (to recreate that one scene of godzilla flying) a beam, and extra hands (I know shma would never do this though)
FINALLY, I CAN COMPLETE MY SHOWA COLLECTION AND A FIGURE THAT ISNT KING GOJI OR MOSU GOJI WE NEED MORE SHOWA KAIJUS LIKE KING CESAR (don’t know how to spell it) ANGIRIUS (this to) SHOWA GHIDORAH MINILLA ECT
I don't think It'd creep up into that range. It'd likely be similarly priced to this guy. high prices are normally due to tooling, construction, and paint. Showa Gojis are moderately simple across all fronts. unless they jack it up with accessories lol
I could live a happy life without ever seeing another SHMA Heisei Godzilla lmfao As for MV Godzilla....lord knows what personal turns they'll take. I look forward to it, greatly!
I got mine like instantly from eBay for a surprisingly good deal XD. Honestly this just makes me wanna see them make a MegaroGoji to go with Jet Jaguar.
If I'm lucky enough to buy another SHMA Godzilla, as I was lucky to get the SHMA GVK Godzilla for a good price, I'd want to get the 89 Goji. But not for a hundred dollars though.
The dorsal plate that is removable, I think you have it on backwards, just thought I'd help. Oh wait, I noticed you fixed it during the Articulation segment of the video.
Dammit Rob, now i want him too🤣🤣🤣 A great Review as always. I'm still not a fan of his Price but...i just might. And it kinda makes me hope for a 74/75 Goji...
Monsterarts sucks. The only one I have is Godzilla 1964 and it's bad. The texture is coarse, the material feels hollow and like it's going to break apart, the articulation doesn't feel satisfying, and the scult isn't good. Overrated, overhyped, overpriced figures.
The figures are indeed hollow... it kinda needs to be in order to fit the joints inside. the texture is meant to be course to showcase how the suits looked. and while i do agree some releases are mid at best when it comes to their series name, i wouldn't say they're all dissatisfying. Overrated, sure. Overhyped, most of the time but not all. Overpriced, yes. But given what goes into making them... even their worst blunders could be made worse with less money going into them.
Awesome review! My 72 goji arrived today and it also was awesome! Until his wrist ball joint broke and got stuck in the forearm, really sad stuff but I'm getting a replacement soon
I remember when I was a kid I thought sh monsterarts figures worked kinda like fnaf animatronics there is a ball jointed endoskeleton and the sleeves just covered it
Glad to see the restricted elbow isn’t just me. I disassembled it, it seems it’s the actual joint engineering that’s stopping it from going the whole way
@@ShinRobjira I’ve bought two of them, the other one should be here soon, I’m gonna keep one as is and see if I can fix the elbow on the other. If I’m successful and don’t fuck it right up, I’ll drop a comment about how I did it for anyone else who wants their Goji to be able to to the 😧 meme
My first SHF Gomora was the first release and it had a similar annoying issue of one arm being engineered to be far more limited than the other. Thankfully the first reissue fixed that.
Sweetness! Have him pre ordered. Just got my first Monsterarts in today, the ‘54 reissue. I’m pretty impressed with him. A bit more than expected. I’d love for them to release the whole ‘72 Kaiju crew. Thanks for the shot with the Toho Maniacs Godzilla Tower. Have that incoming also . Feel the Monsterarts scales pretty good with it so I’ll probably use them together. Great video as always.
I gotta say, as much as I love how he looks... That price ain't doing it for me, especially for what you get. Bandai isn't gonna win me over from their recent blunders and absurd price hikes with a *$100 dollar figure* that looks decent and literally nothing else. I'll wait til Hiya announces him for $50 dollars cheaper.
@@imahoare4742 The higher prices is unavoidable at this point but i rather have this than heisei 91 for the same price. Why? This guy at least comes with an accessory. It's not a guarantee hiya will even do this godzilla specifically in the future. Fans simply want figures that have accessories of any kind and don't fall apart and have good paint jobs and so on. This figure has all of that. If the price is the only issue and it's not an absurd 150 or more, then this is worth the pickup. And given how this figure hasn't been released in America yet, getting it from Japanese retailers for a cheaper price is possible
@@Kaiju-bm4ts that's insane cope and peak FOMO. It's almost guaranteed that Bandai will continue to jack their prices up because people will keep paying a premium for the bare minimum or even worse in the case of Minus One's SHMA, mediocre. 1 accesoriy that isn't even a proper accessory isn't with the premium price for that bare minimum.
@@imahoare4742 Buddy how is that cope? Lol. At least use the word properly when applying it to anything situation. It's ironic you bring up minus 1 when this figure is A. MUCH cheaper despite being overpriced itself and B. Has at least 1 accessory and is more accurate to the godzilla It's meant to represent as oppose to minus 1 meeting halfway expectations in the department. Better to go with one figure that has an accessory and is cheaper than one that is a higher price and has no accessories. So i recommend not having too high hope that hiya will do every kaiju sh monsterarts did when that's not a 100% guarantee. I love hiya but try to remember their g91 didn't even come out yet and they didn't even announce any other toho godzillas or kaiju since.
