I heard this figure was just another repaint and slight modifications were made to this guy. But I still think it's a great figure.

I don't remember him being charcoal black and charging his beam with visible glowing spines in the movie. Like you said, they could've just made the energized one and be the last one for this damn figure mold so it can finally put to rest. But, nope. Tamashii still impress others on how they milk this god awful mold as much as they can.

I and many people like this mold, but it's time to put it to bed...though I'd get an energized version, too.

Just finally got to see the movie this past weekend and it was pretty dang awesome. I think the paint looks really good to me and he himself looks really nice to me too. I wouldn't mind picking up both figures but I have a couple others I want to grab up first but if I can get these two, I plan on it anyways. 👍👍👍
