I still remember the abject fear I experienced when I realized what was going to happen and as the puzzle pieces clicked into place. Ahhhh the good ol days, where Jack was actually a relevant villain and not just running around deep space with PM playing tag or whatever.
Jack still the best villain, Lord English spends all his screen time terrorizing ghosts, Lord Jack is just really a force of nature, and the condesce always felt super out of place to me.
This will always be my favorite flash. Not Cascade. Not Collide. Not even Descend. It's got a great pacing, paired with the amazing track, and conveys a huge plot point splendidly. The pages before and after the flash do much justice for the flash. Whenever I reach this part in the comic, it never fails to amaze me.
Totally. And it combines extreme action and drama in a very sophisticated way, it feels kinda "real" and serious. Best scene from Bec and my favorite scene from Jack Noir at the same time. Also favorite scene from Jade.
There's a lot of "oh fuck" moments in Homestuck, but as a first time reader if you truly understand what Bec is, I don't think there's a bigger "oh FUCK" moment than when Bec prototypes himself and realizing the consequences of that
This was such a satisfying flash, almost as good as [S] Descend. There were lots of loose ends but I would have been happy if Homestuck ended right here. Up to this point I was thinking oh man, when's Jade gonna enter the Medium?
This is still one of my favorite scenes to this day. When I was first getting into Homestuck, this scene was what officially hooked me in for the rest of the webcomic. Just that sudden realization that Bec prototyping himself allowed Jack Noir to transform into an unbeatable boss with godly powers was a major "Oh shit!" moment for me.
Right as a meteor is about to collide with Earth, the Bill Cosby boy activates the frogs and psychic powers that cause an angry woman to do something, and a dog with super powers becomes a ghost, and blows up the planet, and some guy and a tentacle dude are fighting, and then the tentacle dude becomes a dog with superpowers who isn't a ghost, but a bird, and the dog bird blows up a planet. Man, what is up with dogs blowing up planets in this story
Here is something that always confused me, Lil Cal is classed as a major antagonist in Homestuck but is seen helping fight Jack Noir and others on several Occasions
He's not fighting. Bro is just whooping Jack with a doll repeatedly because he thinks it's funny. He's making it look like Cal's moving because he's flashstepping faster than the eye can see.
well yes but actually no because bec noir was already in one of the lotus capsules on the frog temple so it would create a doomed timeline if bec wasn’t prototyped as bec noir already existed ever since bec landed on earth
It looks that way on the surface but because of how sburb/sgrub/the medium works it was actually always fucked up no matter what they couldve possibly done. So you could say that the real moment they fucked it all up is the moment the alpha trolls started playing the game and started the chain in the first place. But i dont remember the circumstances of them playing their version, so its possible that not even they had a choice
Bec wasn't responsible for the blindfold; it was a required part of Sburb and Jade's entry into the Medium. He more than likely couldn't have removed the blindfold, even with his absurd power.
@@slime_sam4321 yes, I know, I mean like, bec _could_ of not sprited, and still save jade, therefore not giving jack powers, but that’d probably make a doomed timeline.
@@theharvinator i know this is a year old but i have to add that jade could only destroy the piñata with a bullet, and she hadnt shot the gun yet by the time bec prototyped himself. if he had waited any longer, the meteor definitely would have destroyed jades home and killed her. also bec might be omnipotent, but hes still a dog, and he jumped to the most obvious solution without thinking about any consequences (cause, again. he is a dog)
Jack was already at the trolls world, and bec wouldn't be able to hold back the meteor because bec unlocked his first guardian power by being a sprite, so if vriska didn't put john to sleep, it would make a doomed timeline
I always thought it was Vriska trying to prevent Bec Noir from being made, since assuming that John did it willingly. But, her sleep-control inadvertently made it happen anyway.
I always wondered why she did it?? Like I know that she HAD to do it or else it would have created a doomed timeline, I just don’t know why she didn’t want john to choose the cerulean woman lol
