Sorry to strike a discordant note;but then a forum of open discussion has never been a one stop shop. As much as I like the FM’s speech, after all he is preaching to the converts. His diplomatic success would rest entirely on converting the non-believers. God knows how many loose ends are there to be tied up. However mellifluous may be the tune he is fiddling. It is the raging fire out there to be doused.

The most wonderful aspect of ThePrint is that they working hard to set an alternative to the present scenario in media. Electronic media has poisoned Indian journalism by aligning themselves to ideologies and not to the media ethics. As a development professional working in the conflict ridden Manipur, I am daily witnessing realities of where we went wrong as a democracy and how things are being shown in media. I have already written to ThePrint through a mail that I wish to work with them. This is by far the only media platform with least or almost no bias in presenting the news. Thank you team ThePrint. @Sumeet tanwar We did a project for an elevator company in dubai. All these folks are experts in their line of work, not IT of course. We had to organize a two week hands on training for them about the whole project. In spite of that, it took them a year to get used to everything.. Now, GST is in use by everyone, be it the biggest company or the smallest shop owner that hasn't even passed tenth grade.. How does one expect them to get used to GST in a short while? Of course they are crying hoarse about not being able to use it.. But as I have personally seen with passport applications ( took me 6 months 10 years ago. Its down to two weeks now), it will help eventually.. Morals : idiots need to look long term.. Ditto for NPAs.. Ditto for reforms... ( maybe not try to tax the industries before they grow bigger)..

Old internal and external issues lingering on concerning our country are being solved one by one now by current Government under the leadership of our Prime Minister Modiji. We hope that, it is matter of short time some crucial issues will also have their turn.

Sir, Pokhran nuclear test was done under Vajpayee ji's led government. This is cleverly covered in the narration.😂😂

The use of ‘revanchist’ is a very interesting and I’m hearing it a long time after my student days of reading Franco German history. I’d like to hear from Jaishankar how far India could have gone during the Simla days without pushing Pakistan into revanchist path openly. The other issue which I’d like someone to seriously discuss is whether India could’ve done something more emphatic at the time of the impending hanging of Bhutto. Was India’s indifference correct both diplomatically and morally?

Yes, it makes sense for India to get a closure on the border issues which have become a bleeding sore for the nation. We're happy to keep what is ours without eyeing our neighbors' territories, but incursions must be stopped firmly. Only then can we move on with our development.

Your optimism about Narendra Modi settling border disputer could come true 1. He peacefully settled the enclave problems with Bangladesh 2. He should settle the disputes with Sri Lanka on fishing rights and fishermen problem because it's related to kathatheevu island 3. Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir should be reintegrated with India 4. Aksai chin should be reintegrated with India 5. Clarity on Arunachal Pradesh should be made up I hope our PM does all this, and I am optimistic towards it too
