I believe as India's rise becomes more and more apparent China will come around. I think China and India could actually cooperate in the long term. But for that, a strong, inflexible Indian government needs to be at the center to call out China's bluffs, and politically outmaneuver them in international forums.

As regards large Chinese manufacturing complex driven economy, majority of those manufacture low end tech goods like toys, machine tools, lighting, cheap consumer goods etc. For hitech products they just do assembling by importing western components that Biden has prohibited recently. They are a very low cost mfg hub for low tech goods. In Contrast Indians believe there's no shortcut for stable success. We don't steal technology from the West and rather take long hard work for indigenous development. India is setting up defence industrial complex, aviation complex, Semi-conductors etc all in the technology sector. In the longer term India will economically outperform & prevail over China & contain them in Global Geopolitics as they intend to intimidate smaller nations. However in the present we need to be patient & quietly do our work to gain strength rather than confronting.
