Wow...as a kid in the early 80s my buds n I would ride our kuwahara and cooks brothers and redlines and G.t. with skyway tuffwheels and thought we were unbeatable. But goodness we never did even 3 percent of what ya'll are doing. You guys brought back fun memories. I went off to basic training and never rode bmx or freestyle again. But I miss my old bikes so much. Thank you so much young men. Keep riding and please keep posting your videos.
I was in the 8th grade, round 92’ or so, at the local bmx track that got refurbished by Dave Hardin for a few special Saturday night invitational type races. It was cool as hell seeing these GT, Elf, Auburn bmx pro style jock types killing the track..... Then came in something we’d never seen around there before. A few gnarly everlast and mike ness types roll in between motos, not racing mind you, but busting huge whips, table tops, 360’s and lord knows what else. Not off the face of the jumps but coming in at all angles, off the sides of the jumps transferring like hell to the jumps on the other side of the track. Coming through the opposite side of the jump, landing surface to ramp and all kinds of crazy shit. This was prior to xgames mind you. It was the first time I had ever heard of or seen an S&M. They were all on Holmes. They were Show stoppers, like metal mulisha or crusty demons precursors. I could care less about racing from then on. Hell I’m 41 and still want one.
