I'm not trying to sound rude with the following statement I'm going to make, I'm just gonna clear things out. We're obviously not jealous of Krystal whatsoever, she's an idol, and of course she has to follow instructions from her company; what we, fans, find odd is the fact that they chose Krystal over Luna or even over some other artists like The Grace or maybe BoA. Let's look at the fact that her voice is not the strongest one you could have heard in your life; plus she's only a /lead/ vocalist, whereas S.M. The Ballad is composed of main vocalists. And let's not talk about her fluency in the language; f(x) barely promotes in Korea, hence they rarely promote in Japan, so why would she sing the Japanese version? They could have used Dana or Sunday from The Grace, they have more knowledge on the language; or they could have picked Luna simply because her voice is superior (Did you see her performance with Chen in the Christmas Wonderland joint concert? She has what it takes to be in a ballad sub-unit.) Changmin and Krystal did not perform this song live, why? No one knows, maybe Changmin's got a pretty tight schedule, OR maybe because Krystal wasn't going to be able to sing such song live without straining or cracking, so why risking her image. The only reason S.M. chose Krystal over everyone else is because they had to promote the singles with popular members in order for the income to be bigger; since no one really cares about The Grace anymore, and Luna has so little popularity, they chose the next person in the roster; which, of course, was Krystal. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of hers; but I do find it quite unfair for the other artists.

Savna Taing lol, not because I'm a fan of hers means I have to sugar-coat her singing abilities. Even I know people like my ultimate bias [Jessica] strain their voices and are not able to sing freely without cracking once in a while. If you're going to be a real fan you have to put up with the strengths and flaws of your artist. And let me just clarify that I'm not saying Krystal can't sing, because she obviously can, but her vocals are not strong enough for S.M. The Ballad, lbh.

I think it's the same kind of hate Jessica from SNSD would get in the first few years after the group's debut. Both are assumed to be cold and disinterested, just because of the expression on their faces which in turn makes people think that they're really rude and that's why they get hate. :/ Of course that's obviously not the case. And I remember Krystal saying she's just a really introverted person and doesn't socialize well despite her profession in the spotlight.

CelibateCetologist it's unfair how people judge them to be cold just from their expression/face. I think Krystal's a warm person, only to people she's fond of but she's shy to people she just met.

i think she's getting hate becuz she gets the most attention and she also gets lots of lines in songs while other members don't get much , f(x) fans just want to see attention for their biases too but after all i don't think it's her fault so she is not the one who should be getting so much hate it's SM's fault

We're not complaining! This version is great and Krystal did a great job, but we think Luna has a stronger voice and maybe she deserve it better.

Elvia Elena Roman its not like they wouldnt have had luna in it, she just didnt have time, she was doing musicals when this album was recorded, and krystal IS the lead singer, and since the main singer (luna) didnt have time, it went to krystal. would you guys rather f(x) wasnt represented at all? also in the past, krystals japanese has been shown to be stronger than lunas. you guys always find a way to explain. luna has always said its her biggest dream to be in musicals, and now shes doing that, just be happy for her.

Krystal (to me) lacks of emotion in this song, her facial expression in the MV is not enough for sad melody.
