Sos Band is one of the greatest R&B Groups Of All Time. They are extremely underated. All their songs are straight 🔥, thanks in parts to Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.

Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jam were killers in that era. Janet Jackson, SOS band, Alexander O'Neal, Cherrelle, an album for The Human League. They were at the top of their game. Jack, (as previosly stated) you're listening to the writing & production of former members of Prince's group "The Time" (keyboards = Jimmy Jam..............and bass =Terry Lewis) i.e. "Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis" with their signature sound that puts that "Bump" in the groove so well!......Prince fire them right when they had produced S.O.S. Band secretly in ATL, but got held up in a snow storm and missed an L.A. Time gig. Prince's policy was (don't produce outside acts) they did, got caught & fired, and it became the BEST mistake those two ever made! They went on to produce Janet Jackson and a ton of others, making them one of the successful producers in music history! (....thank you Prince! lol) Anyway, Good reaction! (pls forgive the typos, lol)

This song was a heavy influence on Nick Martinelli’s production sound for groups like Loose Ends (Hangin’ On A String (Contemplating), 52nd Street (Tell Me How It Feels).
