According to a comment he made on the video, he said that he was in a depressing time of his life or something like that. He's cool now. He still speedruns Goldeneye to this day. FunFact: His RU-vid channel name is RWhiteGoose. He mades pretty good videos.
@@joshuafrendomenendez not when the people you're actually competing with are all fighting over seconds. You cut 40 hours out of a game which is fine I guess. But you're not trying to cut 40 hours. You're trying to cut 40 hours and 1 second so you can beat the guy who has the world record by 1 second. So you spend all week doing the same thing over and over again so you can play the game slightly faster than the guy who has a world record. That's kind of the point. You play slightly faster than other speedrunners. So it's accurate. Which is why it's a lot more fun for me to watch simpleflips because he has fun and doesn't do the same thing over and over again. Shout out to dadflops.
I love how he adds "Forever". My sanity is gone FOREVER! In the context of it being a stupid game and it affects his whole life and mental health, (Obviously it's just an exaggeration) it just makes it so fucking funny, it just cracks me up every time.
I really enjoy watching speedruns, and I can empathize with how seriously people take it, but Pewdiepie makes some good points. There's a difference between a passion and an unhealthy obsession, and quite a few speedrunners are unhealthily obsessed.
Speedrunning is such a dumb idea anyone who calls themselves a "speedrunner" is a loser bahah its just a stupid amount of stress and effort for simply finishing a game as quick as possible ffs
Pewds is trying to tell us all something here. He found the ultimate video game (RU-vid), we all need to stop playing games that dont make us money, instead we need to all make a "game" out of MAKING MONEY!
I only just discovered him! I'm new to the bro army!! I used to be a Logan Maverick but when I watched Matty Love debunk video showing how Logan used a paid actor to pretend to be a dead suicide body I stop watching his vlogs. How can he trick the world like that. Thats mean so now I watch Pewdiepie instead!! XD
I tuned out for a long time because I stopped caring about his gameplay but now that he's doing this new content and being funny again I can tune in. I like it too.
It is always nice to meet a fellow Color a Dinosaur speedrunner. If you would like to share some time saving strats hmu on twitch or twitter. I would also like to say thank you because during your video I found out, from a condom commercial, that Chlamydia is on the rise at alarming rates in the US.
My favorite developers are ones who patch out glitches so these losers can lose their mind when they have to play the game legit instead of cheating their way through it
I'm hugely offended as I am a leveL 17 speedrunner. My chromosomes have developed a special kind of cancer that would destroy any person's brain. To be honest, this video just shows how much you love Dikin Mouf.
I'm 26, and the first game I sped run was Dino Crisis for the PS1. I recorded it using my VCR and I was 10 when I did it. I should have kept speed running games, I would've had so much purpose and meaning in my life. I see now how dumb it was to go to college and get my degree. :(
Don't worry, the option is always open to do the most important speedrun of all time, the speedrun to get a successful life. Now to be honest you've already lost your shot at a world record by a vast margin since the fastest times of 0:00 go to those born into royalty or the children of rich spineless parents, but that doesn't matter right now, you look at me, it doesn't matter because I've got a list of how to succeed. 1. What we need to do is look at options, the mechanics of the world are very deep and there are multiple ways to get to the end. It may be daunting at first but if you get used to the controls and level up structure you may find it to be mostly shitty, trust me, that's a step up from a lot of your competition's viewpoint. I suggest balancing a healthy lifestyle of work, exercise and personal time. This is probably one of the most difficult stats to manage in the middle of the game with random encounters such as hospital bills, car repairs, your girlfriend being a tramp or accidentally binge watching an entire TV show instead of working but with enough determination and willingness to stay on course, things should work out. 2. Remember that this is a multiplayer game, and as much as you may not like it, cooperation with others is required unless you have the high IQ cheat on in which case half the work is already done for you. Make good connections and always be willing to put yourself out there for others so that you increase your social status points and train your charisma stat to get better which can carry you a long way. 3. Also to make sure that you reach the late game I would not recommend going into PvP areas unless forced to. The possible status effects are long lasting and the wikis tell me that the rewards aren't really worth the trouble unless you are really into that type of stuff. 4. Now here's where things get a real tricky, because like most games in this genre like Minecraft or Animal Crossing, your end goal may differ from others. Some people think money is the main goal and others believe that having a loving family is the true essence of a good life, that's entirely up to you and I won't be one to judge as long as you're happy. Welp, that's my wrap up on the speed running tactics in this game. It's a pretty solid game with lots of fulfilling options if you're up to it. However I feel like the visuals could have been improved somewhat and the different covenants can make social interaction awkward. Like seriously, who would ever be stupid enough to believe that there's a creator up in the sky that judges us for all our- *Alastair Hadlow has been banned by the moderator*
i wonder if pewds still remembers the alice in the wonderland game he played thats nevered finish. i miss him when he says "I AM ON MY PERIOD!!!" but thats years ago, pews will never going to finish that game.....
There are way more non-salty speed runners than salty ones; don't base all your assumptions off a heavily biased RU-vid vid. I'm heavily involved in the indie game scene and kind of involved in the speedrunning scene (although I've watched a lot of them), so I have enough grounds; definitely more than Pewdiepie does.
I actually used to speedrun dark souls deprived runs for fun. Got my time down to 3 hours 41 mins. But then I got more and more critical of my mistakes and started getting angry. I realized I wasn't having fun anymore, so I just stopped playing deprived speedruns. I really didn't like the idea of getting mad at something like that. I've always been a fairly calm and chill when playing games and didn't want to fall down that classics toxic dark souls gamer path lol. Still play for fun.
