Hello everyone!
I'm back with finally this rach's piece!
This piece is when i was know rachmaninoff first, i heard played by lugansky. Very fantastic and master piece.
Also very difficult. I wanted to play this PERFECTLY, But it was really hard. (Also lack of practice :/) I don't like my play but, hope you will enjoy. Thank you:)

안녕하세요! 라흐마니노프의 명곡을 가지고 다시 돌아왔습니다ㅎㅎ
이곡은 제가 라흐를 처음 알았을때 루간스키의 연주를 듣고 라흐를 접하게 됬죠:) 정말 화려하고 효과 만점이고 좋은곡이지만 그만큼 또 힘든 곡이기도 합니다ㅠ 저는 완벽한 연주를 하고 싶었지만,, 정말 힘들 더라고요.. 또한 연습부족인것도 있고..(심지어 레슨도 안받음) 전 이 연주가 마음에 안들지만.. 여러분들은 좋게 들어주셨으면 하는 마음입니다. 감사합니다:)
추신. 다음곡은 기대하셔도 좋을것 같네요ㅎㅎ 여러분이 절대로 모르는 곡이라고 제가 단언하죠!ㅋㅋ (힌트는 체르니!)

ㅋㅋㅋ라흐마니노프정도면 무조건 협찬해줘야죠~ 근데 그러고보니 유명피아노브랜드 몇몇은 19세기말~ 20세기초에 등장한 걸로 알고있는데 1940년대까지 살다 가신 라흐마니노프는 피아노협찬을 받았을지 궁금하네요

Technically speaking brilliant as always but I believe this piece demands also more dynamic contrasts, specially in the b section. Also taking some time for giving emphasis and making the music even more dramatic.

I think the piano/mic doesn't allow him to do that....I watched his better recording at a uni, and he is perfectly capable of producing all these dynamic variations

@@edgarnza9620 Kind of difficult to explain in a few words but I'll try. In classical music, we use different names for analysing pieces and identifying their parts. We usually call b section to a contrasting part that differs significantly with the main theme of a piece, which can be called A section as well. We could say that the b section starts in this case at 0:51.

please stop saying you're an amateur and you're not proud of your playing. I listened to a lot of interpretation of this music that I like a lot and that I have been playing myself for a long time and I can tell you that your version is excellent. You can almost play unplayable music like Scherzo alla napolitana or Le preux. well done

Technically, yes he is an expert, but in his recordings i can’t really hear too many dynamic changes. like in his performance of prokofiev’s suggestion diabolique, he played the pp parts like mf. and same thing in this piece

@@stacia6678 True, but I liked the fact that he doesn't just play the piece straight forward. He adds pauses and slows down at some places, which adds a kind of dramatic effect that I feel like lots of pianists don't have.

@@stacia6678I've seen this issue in many other performances on youtube. I think the problem is the microphone stabilizing the volume. That's why I can't hear much difference between certain dynamics.

Omg....such virtuosity! I think you're one of the most technically accomplished pianists already. This effortless playing of ridiculously hard passages is just Hamelin like. Unfortunately we still can't hear much dynamics from this piano and microphone. I think you could also think about more colours in the playing but it's hard to say with the poor audio quality still :(

My room is very small.. so need to more big room or like some hall. It will be so much better. (Actually yes, not enough mic and piano.)

@@seonyonghwang where do you place the mic? And what recording volume do you use? I find it better if I closed the lid and then increased the recording volume to the max possible before clipping.

Man, you play like the devil - I mean that as a complement. But there is something strangely off with you mic or recording process. The high frequencies sound very prominent , but I fell there is something seriously missing from the medium, especially the low tones. It's such a shame to hear such masterful performance fall victim to it. Unfortunately I don't know anything about the technical issues you might be having - I suggest you talk to other youtubers who already figured out the recording process for the piano. PS: I am just a music lover, a lame and fan and I don't mean to scourge you or anything like that.

Ok stop complaining about the piano sound. Yes it’s not a Steinway. I doubt he has over $10,000 in mics and $50,000+ in recording equipment to make it sound great. That’s what studios are for. Get a grip ppl!

Say what you will about the sound of the piano or the dynamics of the performance etc, this is still an incredibly impressive feat to accomplish, and lets take a moment to respect the fact that this guy is so humble in taking criticism. Hats off my friend, you'll go far with that attitude :)

You have great talent, Mr. Hwang. If you want to grow, you should follow composers' scores more closely. There are many places in this piece that are marked pp (pianissimo), but you play them at mezzo-forte.

Oh, please. You are so fantastic. Far, far better than I could ever be, but you're ignoring most of the dynamic making again. It's music, not just notes. I thought your recent posting of the Waldstein was a fantastic improvement, but you've reverted to your old style. You have a potential great career ahead, don't blow it. It's the difference between David Saperton - a piano playing machine, and Jorge Bolet - an aristocrat of the piano. Both Godowsky students. One was great. One was not.

1:06 에서 ppp파트를 연주할때 저는 왼손의 컨트롤이 아직 미숙해서(속도와 세기조절이 어렵습니다) 오른손의 주 선율이 계속 묻힙니다 그래서 오른손을 좀 더 세게 연주하면 ppp가 아니게 되는 그런 상황이 생겨서 저는 왼쪽 패달인 소프트 패달을 밟으며 연주하는데요 혹시 저 부분을 연주할때 ppp를 살려서 연주하되 오로지 댐퍼패달만 밟는 요령같은게 있나요??

Брависссссимо!!! Великолепно!!! Экспрессивно!!! Сергей Рахманинов восстал и вошёл в вашу голову, в ваши руки... Он явно гордился бы таким продолжателем его творчества. Я играла Рахманинова Прелюдии, но и на 100ю долю не приблизилась к нему, хотя много слушала самого Рахманинова в записи... Вы приблизились максимально к великому маэстро, сошлось всё, работа рук, чувства и эмоции, темперамент и звук. Мой любимый 2й концерт Рахманинова, надеюсь услышать в вашем исполнении с хорошим оркестром!

В пассажах хотелось бы услышать вихрь а не часотку пальчиками, очень сухо звучит.Это же Рахманинов , больше мяса в пассажах и выразительности в мотивах.
