Saisyu's arrange of Forever Rachel from Final Fantasy VI. True to the original, yet different just the same. Saisyu Saitama Heiki's website: www.ssh.ne.jp Song download: www.megaupload.com/?d=I8AVIT61 The image I used: fav.me/d19fs3z
Still, to this day, this theme is what gripped me when I was first told Locke's backstory. Just walking down those stairs, thinking there was a treasure chest at the bottom, and learning of this story, made me compelled to see it to the end. Returning to the room when I had the Phoenix Magicite and watching the scene unfold... it hurt. Just to see them share their final moment together before Rachel would live forever on as the Phoenix, and Locke would one day pass. Final Fantasy 6 may have some of the greatest characters to date, but Locke's story of grief, revenge and finally acceptance will always sit in my heart.
Please, let go of the chains that bind your heart... I release you... Give your love to the one who now dwells within your heart... Love her...as you loved me...
this is one of the best arrangements I've heard of this song, and I've heard many... I love the electric guitar that comes in around 1:30... brilliant.
@Vibrenium i can symphasise with you as i was in the exact same boat. i played it on PS1 and the exact same thing happened to me, and i never realised it until i listened to this and replayed the game. the torrent of emotions made me cry alone from this piece, combined in with what happened, broke me down considerably.
Definately Final Fantasy is the original series that has created the best moments of our gaming life time! No matter what Final Fantasy Stands out! NOBUO UEMATSU FTW!
I think back, so long ago when I was young.. what's the year? -- 2010 now... I played this game first when it came out in 1994.. I was 8 years old. Just a kid ... I didn't know what love meant until I saw the scene with Rachel and Locke. Many years later.. I understand... You don't know how much you love someone until they are gone. FFS I'm a grown man now and this song made me cry.
Locke took Rachel to Mt. Kolts, looking for what would become her engagement ring. Upon crossing a rickety bridge, it began to collapse with Locke on it, before Rachel pushed him out of the way just in time, taking the fall for him and losing her memory. Rachel was killed one year later in a raid by the Empire; after that, Locke searched far and wide for a way to bring her back to life. but he did not find it until after the world was destroyed
Locke had been searching the entire game (and part of his life) for some way to make things right. Even with the world ending, he searches to rectify a wrong with his first love. If this isn't a touching moment, I don't know what is.
FF IV is a TRUE classic, and one of the greatest rpg's (as are many Squaresoft games)....but it is the Final Fantasy games that made them what they were (until the merger *cries*)
@DonYagamoth it's not. there are some stories you just hate to happen (take a look at Freya, ff9) yet you cannot feel but respect/love/experience what they have been through.
@BattleJesus Agreed on all it said. The storyline of FFIV and FFVI are epic. I finished those 2games so often. Stuff I like about FFIV: Radya became an ophan, Kain betrayed his party and then come with his free will, Cecil becaming a pally, sacrifice of Yang, Cid, Porom and Polom, The Big whale. Stuff I like about: EVERYTHING.. just the perfection! After those 2, I tried FFVII & FFVII and I left the FF series until I played FFIX: Vivi is awsome. He got hooked to FFIX. :)
haha I will definitely give her props for having the coolest functioning gunblade ever (even though i still kinda prefer the LOOK of revolver) but fun facts like that are fun to notice and point out. i honestly think it's cool how they did that.
He heard of the legendary Esper Phoenix that could revive the dead and immediately went searching for it. When he got to Kohlingen, he used the Phoenix Esper on Rachel. Despite this, the cracked Magicite shard could only revive her for few seconds.
Ever since I saw those scenes with Locke and Rachel, i felt really bad for Locke... I mean, he wanted to find the one thing that could revive his loved one... bu in the end... it didn't matter, but at least he was able to talk to her one last time. =(
@Tikku4ever I would say the same, except for the only one that made me cry part. This game made me cry a lot. Remember the Phantom Train? ;-( *sniffle sniffle*
Reason for that is he realized what he did wrong etc etc. It wasn't that he was a good guy "just he realized it after watching zidane, being beaten even when he got ultimate power) he felt he didnt have to live on so he was willing to help them before he died at least. Zidane understood he could help Kuja redeem himself more so he came to help him ( plus brother) also I mean Kuja was just always afraid of dying, zidane probably figured he can help change him and save him.
did you notice, Lightning is a female Squall? She carries a gunblade, is a member of a military organization, is reluctant to share anything with anyone for a lot of the game, very mission oriented, and the name Squall actually means "Storm" (paraphrased) storm, lightning, get it?
Yah know it wouldn't hurt to to a FFVI Locke's Chronicles because he is a treasure hunter, i'd do it post VI, still feature some of the returners too but mainly Locke and Rachel.
kinda find it funny that he's trashing IX and likes VI. I find most people who like one of the two like the other because the parallels between the two games are quite profound. In alot of ways FFIX and FFVI are the same. Why I love both of them
@BattleJesus Hi there, you can get the picture? How? I would LOVE to have this picture. FFIV is my brother's favorite (mine as well) final fantasy, and this would be such a good gift to him for his birthday coming up.
This is one of the better remakes on this song, but I didn't care for the percussion. If you took that out, it would be great, but as is, it's good. Nice job.
I really despise the ending in FFIX, even though I love the game otherwise. Kuja is suddenly a good guy, and Zidane goes back to help him? I know he was kinda like his brother, but that was such a sudden turn it really left a sour taste in my mouth.
BAHAHAHA.. Sorry, but FF6 is about 10000000x better than any game made by Square Enix. Just saying, FF7-FFX alone are true FF games, not the shitty newer ones. I can say this from experience-They tried to mix Tactics together with the battle systems from XII, and it failed miserably. I absolutely detested the characters as well, especially Lightning.. But then again, this is my opinion. And yes, I did play through XIII-And hated it the whole while.
@timboslice741 nope ff 6 all the way ff9 had worst storyline worst gameplay - worst character design - worst character development - worst effects- worst worldview/map- worst chocobo concept DAMN did it suck
