Once the game comes out I think we'd all like a video of Jonathan Ferguson, Keeper of Firearms & Artillery at the Royal Armories in the UK taking a look at the weapons
Agreed. We will wait after the game is released until Winter 2024/2025. Also, GameSpot will bring Jonathan Ferguson from Royal Armories to talk about weapons from Delta Force: Hawk Ops as well.
This series means a lot to me, and I'm just so happy to finally see something happen. Wishing for the war to end asap, for all the reasons one should, but also for the selfish reason of visiting Chornobyl again.
Despite the obstacles they had along the way, they managed to move forward. We thank them for their effort and dedication. I hope to God that the war ends soon.
@@mclovinirishthey likely would have been spared getting forced into a van. People of high public status or those in media are spared due to publicity.
@@mclovinirishalso, no one should be forced to fight and die in a pointless war of they don't wish. Migrating to a country that will accept you is perfectly ok.
gamespot please, even if its just 1080p footage, can you upload it in a 4k container? the youtube compression is killing the details on the plants and foliage.
probably is upscaled if it is the xbox version shown here, it is UE5 after all, which is taxing, so that will add to it looking like that, especially during movement
A layer of atmosphere that is often ignored and masked by music in most games. I find that playing with music off is much more immersive and less repetitive. Music should emanate from natural sources like a stereo or a TV in the game, not magically from heaven.
Man, I love that a lot of areas still have the same base layout even if some things have been moved or added (which is understandable given the timeskip)
Funny all the casuals in the comments section don't even know what alife is and how important it is to the series but is somehow not even mentioned in this deep dive.
As far as I know they stated that there is a life 2.0, maybe at gamescon it will be shown more, if they let people have freedom of exploration i doubt it will not have it, since areas would be barren after exploration
@@Krahamus one thing I know in the games industry is usually when a developer hides something it is because it doesn't exist or it is broken....the devs dam well know how important this feature is and how much real stalker fans are anticipating it. I think they might have included some of the basic a-life stuff from stalker 1 but weren't able to expand on it much... therefore they don't feel comfortable showing it off...at least I hope this is the case...I would be happy for that...mutants and NPCs exist in the world regardless of the player view...they migrate and have simulated fights etc...
@@williamrice71 I just recently checked on discord new section askGSC and someone asked about it, the reply is a life 2.0 is there and expended but needs more tuning because some issues, i mean we will see in the end, the devs know how important it is, especially director and co owner Grigorovic, since he been working on stalker since early early versions, he knows how important it is for stalker.
@@williamrice71they have talked about a life I think it was in an interview and they just showed us gameplay of combat and the world and a quest so maybe showing off a life and how brutal ai can be that’d be cool but i definitely see your concerns but I have to stay hopeful
I hope, beyond all things, that the world is not just large for the sake of being large, but it uses the space to DO things. It doesn't have to be a boss every five feet, but having unique locations and avoiding the "there's 90km of space with 3 fun things to see" syndrome
I’m sure that there will be more building scattered in between zones and if a life is in full effect it should always feel random you never know what person or thing you will encounter in the zone
Made me quite emotional thinking how much love and heartbreak went into this. Forever a fan of the franchise, I can not wait for more of my favorite world to immerse into. Much love and appreciation from Canada.
@@Slowponeh besides AI improvements and the way ballistics function the only real difference between gameplay I can think of is CS having faction wars and CoP having a lot of side quests. The general gameplay loop is exactly the same, navigate anomalies, find artifacts and progress the main story. GAMMA gameplay loop is a lot more focused on gear acquisition, weapon maintenance and a robust health + armor system, closer to EFT than STALKER gameplay
@@mpy2912 in the undergrounds, where the game called "METRO" is supposed to take place? Oh yeah, no debate. Once it comes out to the surface - no offence, but that's where it loses the competition to STALKER immediately.
@@Krahamus just without the artistic touch to it, unfortunately. You can still make inventory menus minimalistic while keeping it true to the art direction, but here it just screams "consoles-oriented".
There's some spacing issues on the RU-vid captions but it's still legible. Looks like someone missed the spacebar on a few words. Or RU-vid captions ate it
35 guns each with their own arsenal of attachments that can greatly change how they work. Or about 60 guns where you can't do anything with them and a good portion are just going to be variants with suppressors or scopes or whatever. you can't have both.
For a singleplayer game with weapons being tiered along with with different calibers having difference not just in performance but accessibility and cost in traders can make it more interesting. 5.45x39mm seems redundant compared to a 5.56x45mm but its so much easier to find and maintainence costs on AK's are cheaper compared to AR's for example.
Dude. I saw an M14 EBR, an IWI Tar, a KSG1 and something that might have been a H&K G3 or MP5 as well as some AR15 pattern rifle. Theres bound to be some AKs and RPKs in there as well, I think we good.
@@Dung30nI agree and you know modders will be adding weapons as soon as they physically can so I’m not worried by the time I get bored of the 30 guns I’m sure there will be 30 more gun mods out there that are high quality
1. They need to work on the crosshairs and the Interaction UI 2. I wished they upgrade the inventory access UX. what if players only can access backpack if it able to open it unto the ground which needs 1-3 seconds (and its not pausing), so itll be vunurable position for players and punishing if he need to open backpack mid fight.. BUT!.. youll still be able to access items that have previously stocked in the " Quick Inventory slot of the backpack" thats the only item that can be used quick without needing to open backpack. THIS WAY. itll be very immerse and also make it more punishing. plus it elevate the gameplay to be a next gen like.. instead of using the same old formula. 3. i wish they elevate the sound effect of the game. 4. make the night more scarier darker like 5. Rain, steppin into water etc. affect vision 6. More emphasizing on the mutants ragdoll effect, make the body of it affect the surroundigs so itll give the mutant more volume illusion like its matter . 7. if you shot mutant, then youll get it act on it . dont just be a static body that got some blood animation. Our expectation is so big with this game. wish they pull it off
A previous stalker post on this channel was full of “it looks like a cod campaign” “wow this doesn’t look like stalker at all how dare they put cutscenes in” and “the graphics look way worse” I don’t see any of you now it’s funny it’s almost like as we get closer to launch they show more and more kind of like every video game does ever and now that we’re close and there showing gameplay no one is crying anymore kinda weird isn’t it? Almost like they are developing a game
will be available on geforce now and probably xcloud as well, that's how i play all xbox and pc games without owning the systems and just sub to gamepass, attach some telescopic controllers to my smartphone and I'm good to go...heck looks and plays better than playing natively on any handheld today like the deck and rog, especially geforce now, get to crank up the visuals to the max as well as RT and still hit high fps, even input latency is better than consoles and again handhelds like the rog and deck that can only run most triple A games at 30fps with low settings, not to mention u can use dlss and reflex on top to push for even higher fps
Хотелось бы, чтобы компас вверху экрана можно было бы настраивать. Интереснее при наличии минимум информации на нем. Миру мир UPD. В целом меньше подсказок хочется
@@JF-vz1ju Yeah the important thing. The irony of developing a game based in your homeland. Which is overrun. While skipping out on the real world equivalent, is superb.
I'm so excited for this game. I'm doing my first playthrough of RDR2, and I am 100% completing it, but I'll drop it the second this comes out 😭 Fully 100% completing stalker is gonna hopefully be fun af
For once in a long long time, don't be a flop, don't release broken. As much as I cherish games like Cyberpunk and No Mans Sky you can never truly get rid of that stain. Every achievement of a badly launched game with be mentioned with the terrible release. I absolutely loved the Legends of the Zone pack on xbox and experienced Stalker as a whole for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I have nothing but respect for the devs and Stalker as a whole. The original games still hold up to this day. I remember hearing about the game about 3 years ago when it was announced and quickly forgot about it as soon as they delays were announced. I respect the people who stuck around and kept tabs on it.
Here's hoping there are multiple difficulties. More specifically one were it's basically DayZ levels of survival and attention to detail with weapons and character care ect
Yah they confirmed a life 2.0 and at gamescon it was not a life since i played myself, it was behavior of human enemies in combat which is different from a life, since a life is about what NPCs human and not human do in world like hunting artifacts, doing quests, trading with other npcs, looting body's etc..
@@Krahamus fair enough I mean we just haven’t seen enough normal ai bc apparently there playing on a “dumbed down difficulty” for presentation but most people from the play test said the ai were smart so idk I guess we will figure out when reviews drops bc I thought cyberpunk looked great and we all know how that launched
Decent enough game visually is crazy that’s like the one universal happiness I saw is that the game is very pretty but then again seems like you never played an og stalker game just anomaly lol
original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy was a PC exclusive game and it was a reason why it was so open for modifications, this one is console game so i doubt that it will be possible to mod like original trilogy.
This is looking good! I'm happy to see more of the world of the game, which was always the best part of STALKER. Wishing you guys the absolute best with its imminent release! You guys deserve it! Slava Ukraini!
The prompt buttons to pickup or use item is too big for my taste, kind of not in the same place as the rest of the clean UI but other than that, it's great!
Dont like how they have that fallout detect enemy effect on the compass. Is it optional to turn that off? I dont want to want to look at compass to see where enemies are. Seeing the red dots
Hm, the sound seems incredible, especially shots like those at 17:30 . Not a fan of the detection markers and all the info displayed on the compass, hopefully all that can be customized. Really hoping this turns out to be a great game. A nu, cheeki breeki i v damke!
@reposter6434 I know it can be a little hard to comprehend but sometimes, when a country is very big, it can be very different from one end to the other 🤯
@@retroyder There is a difference between teasing what you cant deliver and changes being made to the game through development. You ever see the playable version of borderlands 1 with realistic graphics that the very first trailer was for? No one considered them to be lying about that when the game came out
@@claytopolis you are very foolish thinking they ever considered the footage showed to be ever playable. This is an industry where you need to get people hyped and impressed so they can promote their and make people pre-order it. That’s the only reason they take this decision.
@@retroyder plenty of developers have made showcases like this and the gameplay shown has been exactly what was later shipped (look at armored core 6 if you want an example.) I understand being skeptical after certain companies deceived you, which is perfectly fine. But the similarities to the gameplay of older games makes this look more genuine in my eyes.
You can be sure there will be a few different AK variants. Plus, you have to remember that each gun has different skins too. There are weapon skins in the pre-orders.
Why? I thought it sounded quite good you can hear the panick and almost fear in his voice and the way he takes breaks shows hes almost like out of breath at the time of recording it maybe I’m reading the room wrong
Why is video game voice acting, almost always delivered like pantomime, or a kids cartoon? It’s always so stagy, hammy, melodramatic and the opposite of naturalistic. It feels like when actors get a VA job on a video game, their mind set switches to anything but stage acting, art house cinema or prestige TV. I’ll be playing this in original language with subs,
The game is still in development. Using A.I to make temporary scratch dialogue would actually be a pretty use use of the technology, assuming it's really A.I.
I think the only thing I don’t necessary like is that you the pdf disappears instead of the characters hands interacting with the device. And the prompt to pick up an object is too big.
