This man has sparked my love for stalker back up again, it's amazing how a man with a nice voice and a passion for entertaining people like this are in this world
13:40 It's remind me campfire joke: The stalker enters the Bar: - Barkeep! Give me something to chew! The barkeep says: - Well, today there is an eye of flesh. In tomato sauce. Fried snork legs. In tomato sauce. From the fish … Bloodsucker tentacles. In tomato sauce. The stalker's face twisted with disgust - The hell are you doing? You want to poison people? The barkeep ask angrily. - Who me? Stalker: - Not me, isn't it? .. Serve me with mushroom sauce! No tomato, God damn it!
In Stalker Call Of Chernobyl, once you eat raw or cooked mutant parts you die of radiation in a matter of minutes. Such a useless mechanic if you ask me.
@@XanderNiles In the game there's away to nullified the radiation poisoning from the mutants meats. Dip the meats with the highest quality of alcohol you can get and let it simmer for 2/3 hours then cook it normally with your favourite sauces. You can get the recipes from 100 Rads bartender or from the hunter merchant in Garbage Map after you full fill the quest for meats quota
I always thought that all human being in the Zone consuming meats from outside the Zone like chicken meat that Sidorovich eat on game's intro, because the Zone itself is radiated. But now knowing the fact that Barkeep's one of recipes from mutant animal, I wonder... Is that really safe to consume
Well, my theory is that Barkeep uses antiradiation artifacts to decontaminate mutant meat. But still, it's not only the radiation that could be dangerous, but the fact that the meat is mutated, so I guess it's still not really safe.
The ingame messaging system actually alludes to this, one of the "random news" updates is a duty member eating something irradiated and talking about looking for anti-rads in a local cell.
I wish there was a mod that let you tame/befriend certain mutants like the dogs and crows. In real life if you’re kind to crows they’ll remember you and might even bring you random little things as a gift. They like shiny things so maybe there’s a low chance they could find tiny artifacts to bring you if you spare a few rubbles to feed them. The benefits of befriending a pack of any of the dog mutants should be fairly obvious. The relationship system used for people could be applied to tame-able animals.
I can really tell you put your heart into these videos, which is such a rare thing in this greedy era of youtube, thanks for the effort you put in and great video as always
Things to notify Pseudo dogs were lab experiments but were considered a failure since the scientists that worked on them wanted to make the psy dog which eventually reasons are unknown i suppose the scientists that made burers controllers and etc. wanted to play god. Its possible flesh are deer and pigs combined. Old builds of the flesh had sounds that a deer or even a zebra would make but i personally think they are just pigs. And the only the mutant that mutated from radiation and not lab experiments considering the fact that it mutated so grotesque The rodents/tushkanos might actually be hamsters presumably with rodent dna The cat was originally neutral to stalkers which could mean they are also kept as pets but i think its ai wasn't finished or it was supposed to be less aggressive. i really enjoy your videos keep it up.
Your voice sits well with telling of the stalker universe, as well as your accent. It is cool to have unique voices out there that gives a good touch to it. Also thumbs up for a good pace in your speech and clear pronounciation. Easy to listen to and understand 👍👍👍👍👍
Do you think there should be random stashes in stalker 2 where ai stalkers will manually hide weapons artifacts supply’s ext and have notes on them or on other friendly stalkers. And eventually go back to them for supply’s if they need it as well as other ai if they know it’s there or they find it.. ai made stalker camps and mutant lairs would also be interesting. And say the stashe gets raided by another stalker or player. The stalker who made the stash will still go back to take or stash items. And if they find the stash has been raided they will be on high alert.. player stash’s can also be raided if not hidden well enough. It could work but who knows
Yes, I think that if the devs are able to implement it well, it could work. However, if they cannot do it properly, I would not be disappointed to not see it in the game.
I think that the Psy-Dogs have been near a brain schorcher, but not entirely. i think they've been near the brain schorcher, at the minimum range distance, since the brain schorcer can create zombies, i think that also works with the Psy-dogs. so they just stood away enough to not turn into a zombie, but near enough to gain a mutation. but then again, this is just my opinion.
3:45 It's interesting that you can actually hear a few other bird species in the game, though. In CoP for instance you can hear Crex crex in the swamps and if I remember correctly alsobirds from the Locustella genus. Both creatures definitly profiting from the undisturbed zone irl.
@@anomalousdugout9557 I'll be looking forward to that....I hope my PC won't explode from Stalker 2 🤔 In the meantime I'll have another go at SoC and CoP...your channel really made me want to play it again. Maybe I'll hear a few new birds too in my 20000th playthrough 😗
The reason why the normal dogs seems to be wiped out by the blind dogs seems to be because after blind dogs go feral and mutated, they become more sociable with each other and formed a pack, which vastly improves their survivability compared to being alone, combined with how fast they breed before the disaster, it makes their numbers very sustainable. Using swarm tactic to overwhelm their prey, it's much easier for them to get food, whether it's other mutants or stalkers compared to normal dog (which is why I always carry a shotgun to deal with them), the pack also have a hierarchy, as you've said before, when you kill their pack leader (alpha dog), the rest will retreat, suggesting that the alpha dog is smart enough to lead the attack or signal others to retreat when they are at a disadvantage. The way they migrate between areas suggest that alpha dog is also responsible to getting the pack move from one place to another
Amazing video, as always! This is like the third series you have started in the last few weeks, it's great to see this amount of content and ideas Watching this I've remembered that scrapped idea from early SoC development, in which blind dogs were meant to be sapient, and their leader would even give the main character a task. Intelligent dogs would be damn creepy lol
Thank you, the ideas are plenty indeed, I just hope not to lose myself in all if these different series. Yeah, I know about the scrapped dogs, they were supposed to be at war with the dwarves if I'm not mistaken.
It's one thing to fill your belly and keep it down, it's other thing if the stalker manages to survive long enough to suffer the long term effects of such a diet. For most stalkers my assumption is they're ignorant, out of sight out of mind or are simply too fatalistic knowing their odds. I would certainly have no qualms digging into some glowing shashlik if I was a hungry monolithian
This is the video I was looking forward to. Great job my dude. Interesting to see you covered some cut mutants such as the cat and rats. Next ones to be covered should be the humanoid mutants that are already in the game and as well the cut ones such as the Izlom/Fracture and regular Zombies. Not sure where the Chimera would fit in as it seems as an animal mutant. With that said, keep it up with this series!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. In the next one, we will indeed take a look at humanoïd mutants, however I won't cover the Izlom and zombies since the first has been completely cut and the second will be for another video. I hope you will still like it nonetheless. As for the chimera, it will appear in the third episode.
I think it's safer to assume that the mutations are due to the noosphere colliding with the reality and warping it, other than just saying "it's probably anomalies". Even anomalies are the product of the event anyway.
Back when I played the Oblivion Lost mod for Shadow of Chernobyl one of my favorite tactics was exploiting a glitch that spawned a large herd of rodents and would lead them to the bandit base, crawl up on the roof of the building across from it, and let the rodents clear out the base for me. The only downside was I'd never get to save the Duty guy the bandits were ready to execute
Once I fired onto the ground next to a pack of blind dogs (near the death truck in Cordon) where a bandit squad was patrolling. That aggravated the pack and immediately attacked the bandits and killed them. It was very satisfying to watch ;-)
I have an interesting theory, all of the mutants are real, but in a really small quantity, and basically everything you encounter is a copy send by the zone to do nothing but attack humans, this also explains why they reproduce in such a rapid rate, because they don't, they just simply appear like an anomaly, and die like an animal, I also think that doctors and Noah's pseudopuppies are originals since before the second disaster of 2006, hence they are tamed. tldr, there are mutant patient 0 and everything you encounter are zone copies
Very interesting theory indeed. It would make even more sense if the storyline about copies of stalkers was kept, but in the end it was cut. Perhaps copies will be a thing in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, who knows ?
in my own head cannon i always thort that the psi dogs where experements dont by humans in one of the labs and the psudo dogs where the faild ones that didnt develope psi skills so just relised into the wild
I was about to say I've not seen any of those rats or cats, but heard the cats everywhere! Scared the shit out of me, along with growls and all that too.
I think that almost all of the lab-made mutants are those rare ones like bloodsuckers, controllers or pseudogiants. Only exceptions are snorks, zombies (cut), and fractures (cut) which are not as rare, because they origin from the lab employees themselves. Also: I think rodents come from rabbits.
sometimes i see pairs of mutants that act like how real world animals do when they're in mating season or finding a partner so maybe the devs had a lot of ideas but they scrapped it because of balance or smth
Crow shooting yeah i didnt knew that you can shoot them i always try it but i have never killed one. Cats allways hunt me in lost alpha when i drive my lada niva
Hey dude i watched your videos about artifacts and they are really great and useful. It would be so good if you did videos like this about Anomaly. Because i really don't understand what level of protection artifacts give and how useful they are.
Thanks. I'm gonna be honest, I won't do videos specifically about Anomaly. There are many reasons for this that I won't get into, but basically I prefer to keep making videos about the vanilla games.
As Sun Tzu quotes “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” Now we understand what kind of enemy we fight, we can prepare what the most best way to defeat them.... 😎 Very nice video bratan you've done it well. Now we will wait for video of the most grotesque mutant ever in STALKER lore..... Pseudogiant, Chimera, Lurker, Bloodsucker, Psy-Sucker, Burer, etc... By the way I am still curious where the snakes go? Are they mutated or die because of radiation and environment drastic change?
@@anomalousdugout9557 yeah it make me curious because that's a lot of ground to cover and I think it's impossible if there's no snake in the wilderness especially in Red Forest ground like Steppe Viper.
8:53 - Could this imply that in the STALKER world, there exis furries who dress up as mutants from the Zone. You know, wearing animal tails can only go donwhill from there...
Great channel! Have you ever read the book the game is based off of? (Roadside Picnic). It'd be great if you looked into the differences or made an audiobook out of it.
I just realized I've heard this person's accent before. I'm not sure what that accent is. but it's common enough that I'll assume it's an accent. or something like it.
1:49 on the contrary, huge doses of radiation or prolonged irradiation will cause ionization of the dna due to such high amounts of energy received from the radionuclides which emit radiation. as a result alerations to the genome will occur which affects the chromosomes and alleles which define physical characteristics. therefore ir is a fact that radiation will cause cancer under the above stated conitions and/or may cause physical mutations. its primarily the radiation which causes such deformities whereas anomalies may grant them their abilities. but that too may be radiation
hey I found the sourse of the blind dog sound :D seems to be a straight sample from a deleted scene in the film Amadeus: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QQpH_FL93zE.html time stamp 1.27 just after the guy says 'good boy' :D
Let me get a fact for you guys (this may or may not be an issue but ima say it anyways) So the bandits in Cs and ect are harder to kill than in CoP and SoC.
In the wild territory I encountered some kind of enemy or moving anomaly that leaves me guessing. It looks like a small bunch of swirling grey particles that float around and it makes noises similar to the ones of a poltergeist. Sometimes this thing attacks with some kind of circular outburst of fire (just like a shockwave) when getting close to me, sometimes it leaves me alone. I never encountered it outside the wild territory and it seems to spawn rarely. Is there any description of that thing?
I forget the name of it but in anomaly there's a fire variant of the poltergeist that basically hits you with fire anomalies instead of boxes, it's a red smoky poltergeist by look maybe that's what you saw?
@@jimbothegymbro7086 Nope, it wasn't the fire poltergeist or the flame anomaly. the fire variant of the poltergeist we know attacks like a flamethrower. The thing I found attacked with a single short eruption that would hit everything around it. The sounds that it made were similar to the UFO-sounds in classic movies (a pitched sinus sound) and it looked more like a swarm of grey insects or swirling dust.
@@arterialtribal unless you're playing with a mod to add it then it was probably a bugged poltergeist that got the pseudo Giant stomp as it's attack, either way congrats on finding another wacky mutant/anomaly in the zone, you're a true stalker
@@jimbothegymbro7086 I don't use mods and the the attack of this enemy / anomaly isn't like the one of a pseudogiant. It looks more like a ring of flames and It does firedamage. I already tried to sleep at the point where it spawned over and over again to make it spawn again after blowouts and still try it from time to time. If you or anyone wants to try to find it, here is the location where I met it: When you enter the wild territory from rostock head to the point where the short stairs lead up to the train platform where all the burnt fuzz is. There it was. Even when attacked it moved back and forth like on tracks without reacting to attacks so I think it was an anomaly
