ive reached out to urban carry and they don't make their hybrid holster for the L Comp

No its not "set up for both " . In review he found that accuracy actually suffered not using the moon clip. My guess is his 686 is NOT cut for moon clips so this set up while not superior for one, probably works ok for the both. Also speed loaders are actually easier to pull out of carrier than 7 on a moonie.

TheBinarySon I have a 3in 686 I carry IWB, check out simply rugged they make some of the best revolver holsters out there.

Thanks for that. I have an Ultimate Concealment Holster fro Blade Tech which they've since discontinued, and I like it but I was looking for a hybrid holster for the 686+ and all the big hybrid makers have stopped making the 686+ holster for one reason or another. VERY frustrating.

Hungryman97 both semi auto "non-rimmed" and "rimmed" revolver cartridges can use moon clips. all the rounds will come out together on a revolver (using rimmed cartridges) due to the ejector rod moving the extractor star which is positioned behind the cartridge rim

Watch a few hundred self defense shooting videos and about half of them show a semi auto that fails to function. Or fires one shot and jams. This can end up costing the victim his life. That's why a revolver is superior for personal protection.

Hey there, I have a colt navy replica and I strongly advise you to get a Remington 1858 because of ease of cylinder swap!

Thank you for your input! I love the look of the model 1858 but I may sacrifice cylinder swap for the overall size of the revolver. Giving it a second thought it's not like it's so expensive that it does not make sense to have a black powder only gun. Plus if the the situation in the world ever gets worse where I feel my taser pulse and karambit won't cut it I would like the ability to conceal it. And no I am not crazy I live in an area where race riots took place causing millions in damage. On that note though, does anyone know the legality of carrying a black power "gun". I use the term "gun" in quotes because technically by the ATF it is not one, but I bet they wouldn't like me carrying around a loaded cap and ball revolver lol.

Gary depending on the state you are in, you may be able to purchase a regular handgun. Here in Texas, anyone 18 and over can purchase handguns in private sales, just not from FFLs.

+ssanderford63 Sadly my state isn't the great gun loving state of Texas. Here it's 21 and even then you must obtain a license to get a handgun. Trust me I looked for loopholes and everything.

Dude! Rather harsh there, don't you think? I have Hogue grips in my revolver because they make shooting it better and my fingers are quicker to get a full grip. I put Hogues on my pistols to gain the same benefit; now when I shoot the pistols the grip is better for me and make for more comfortable shooting. I can't believe you are so arrogant as to attack anybody for wanting to change the grips on a revolver. No disrespect to you but, seriously, that's a super troll thing to do. As far as sights go, both of my pistols could use improved sights. That's why they make them. You have to understand that, right? My S&W doesn't have the greatest sights and I have no problem spending $100 to fix that because it's worth it. Years ago I shot a little snubbie that suffered the same issue in the grips as this pistol, and I didn't care for it one bit; it's one thing to carry and shoot a gun with ill hand-fit to protect yourself if you have no choice, but a different thing to accept a gun that has a bad grip if you can do something about it. Seriously harsh comment for something so banal, dude.

OkeyDokey 27 if it doesnt feel good or perfect then you wont be shooting to the peak of your ability if you're uncomfortable

Bob G my bad!! PMS moment. I guess I just want to see TYM shoot his guns. He shows us all these videos of how he likes to set them up and customize them, but then he never shoots them for us.

for some of our channels its hard to make shooting videos when you don't have your own range to shoot at, My channel does reviews and I cant really show much shooting because the nearest range to me is 45 mins away and its hard to review a gun at a public range with other people around and a range warden watching over you
