I own the original generation one Shield single stack in .40 S&W. The trigger doesn't bother me and lower capacity doesn't bother me as well. I do want to buy the Plus one day, shame it's not offered in .40 (Yeah I heard all the arguments saying. 40 is dying/dead so no need to beat that dead horse 🙄). Smith makes great guns.
The original Shield is the best. My buddies tell me to get the Plus, go get the Plus cuz it's basically the same but with more capacity. However the Shield M2.0 is lighter loaded. May be limited to 8 rounds at most but that's enough for daily carry. Plus you can carry more mags. I will always go for the original Shield. It's reliable. It's the best.
My wife and I have 5 Shields. Too much is made about the triggers in my opinion. Pick any one of them up and shoot them, solve your problem and next! In 7yrs doing a CCW Class for my State, their are two guns that always have worked and never failed. One, of course, is any Glock that has not been altered too much and the Shields. Anything else has been ok to just awful.
Mine was a gem two and it was fun to shoot but when I dropped it on a cement floor the mag flew out and refused to go back in. That made me a little nervous. I traded it for the 43X and I’m happy.
I like my Bodyguard, it is accurate and reliable. I also find it easier, than I have heard, to shoot. I take it to the range regularly. Not only for maintenance but I do enjoy shooting it. Otherwise great comparison of the other S&W M&P carry pistols. Thanks for the video.
@@saleemimalikimusawwirbey9029 I have to agree with you. When I first got it I was expecting to shoot much worse because of it but by focusing on my trigger pull and sights l was able to shoot accurately. I am use to the trigger now and really enjoy shooting my Bodyguard.
My wife has both the .380 EZ and the .380 EZ Performance Center version. The PC is a noticeably better shooting gun. Now if the ammo manufacturers would come out with a .30 Super Carry loading that gave performance halfway between the .380 and the 9mm, I think that would be optimum for many shooters. Less recoil than the 9, more power than the .380 and Super Carry capacity with Performance Center improvements. Just my humble opinion, of course.
Did S&W make the mp 2.0 subcompact into the shield plus? That’s the feeling I get, as you never see the subcompact rarely online or at dealers. I have a sneaky feeling. Thank you.
Thought Shield M2.0/Plus holster compatibility question (7:31) is settled: they are. Will find out firsthand eventually but any sources suggesting otherwise?
No mention of grip safety or rail on EZ series. Or PC versions?Had the original. Yeah trigger wasn't great. Magazines are hard to load last round into. Would upgrade to plus, except I put a new trigger and recoil spring in my PC, so too much invested.
