you got this! it took me a lot of messing up before getting the rotation down ngl 🏃

sanhua's outro skill gives encore a 38% damage amplification (deepen) on her basic attacks, which is most of her damage, so she buffs encore a lot! she also gives the team a lot of energy and needs very little field time. if i wasn't using her, i would probably do more of a dual dps comp with havoc rover or yinlin, but i really like sanhua here~ if you like how encore plays go for it! i think she's a very strong unit at the moment especially with yinlin's weapon.

that is only the case if the character in question procs their outro - since im swapping from sanhua to verina without sanhua's outro, the heron effect doesn't proc yet c: would be cool if verina atk buff scaled somehow though, would give me more reason to invest more than +10 echos on her qq

Would be worth it if verina's inherent skill attack buff scaled on her own attack, would give you reason to just pile every source of attack onto her that you can get hold of

I think it's to maximize the buff duration from two supports outro. For example you can swap between verina and sanhua back and forth to fill both concerto, then when they're both ready to outro you can go verina>sanhua>encore immediately. Especially with encore, you want to get all the buff while she's still in her ult Another reason can be so that encore can get all the outro bonus from verina and sanhua. So when both verina and sanhua have their concerto full, you can go verina>Encore>sanhua>Encore, so theoretically encore get all the buff. But iirc if you swap you lose all outro buff, unless this only applies for calcharo? Edit: i just watched the video again lmao, it seems like the fixed rotation is verina outro>sanhua outro>encore ult. I think my first guess is the right reason for the quick swapping

@@farahmau thanks for the explanation that is a good insight and yes your last line is what i worried most, because unlike verina, verina outro buff is still active even if u swap to other character but sanhua (cmiiw) outro buff only applies to the next character, so what i worried most is the risk of switching to incorrect character, though my worries is mostly just skill issue and lack of attention but you can't deny that there's an off chance to miss calculate outro gauge in the midst of a hectic fight

thanks! i played with a friend with similar progression to me who instead of encore focused on calcharo - he does a lot of damage but he really isn't flexible and he hates dodging D: i think he can probably do most of what encore can but it seems a lot harder to pull off

I feel exactly the same way. I thought he’d be really good with Yinlin, but she doesn’t really fix his core issue. I think the reason he feels so bad is because it’s impossible to get all 3 Death Messengers because you’re forced to dodge or keep moving towards the bosses (heron or monkey) in late game content. The window to activate all 3 DMs is so tight that if you dash or dodge once, you probable lose your last DM. You can’t face tank them or you die. Then, you have to wait for them to stop moving or become staggered. That means you have to wait to activate your ult (wasting energy regeneration and delaying your rotations) or just accept that you’re only gonna land 2 DMs, both of which are huge damage losses. All his calculations assume he lands 3 Death Messengers and when he doesn’t, he loses 30 percent of his damage and becomes literally the worst DPS in the game (worse than Chixia and Lingyang).

Its not. It basically takes 1HA or 3BA out of the concerto reqs for a noticable damage loss. Its a decent option at low investment, but it definitely scales very poorly with extra damage optimization. Her optimal damage rotation at S1 uses 3BA and 1HA which fully fills up her concerto gage anyway, so the opportunity cost is null

dont sleep on encore with yinlin weapon she is the number 1 dps in the game

In the last tower of adversity, the middle floor had a buff where on intro skill you gain a shield and +20% atk / +30% crit damage~

it would go something like iirc encore finishes ult duration -> encore skill -> sanhua skill ult heavy -> encore skill 2nd part + bike -> verina skill bell ult -> sanhua heron -> encore ult repeat skipping encore heavy and losing some verina outro (since it'll only proc once every two rotations, but it's 30sec duration) in favour of a 18-20 sec rotation i've tried it with my ER and my fastest was around 1;45~1;50 on this monkey but im forced to encore skill again right before ult and sometimes i barely have enough, definitely a lot smoother with a bit more ER qq
