I'm so glad you are enjoying our adventures with Whimsy! She is learning quite quickly, and so am I! I didn't realize how in tune I was with Moxie, knowing exactly what she needed and when, until Whimsy came along and she was completely different! But we are learning each other and building that bond.
I'm so happy to see you two are back in the saddles...including the new addition, Whimsy. This brings hope that I'll eventually get to a place where a new dog will pick up where Sophie left off. I have my cockpit stored for whomever joins me in the future. I'll look forward to following your journey together. Be safe!
Thanks Derek. Greg and I thought about you often after you shared about Sophie so soon after Moxie. I do hope that in the future you'll find a different copilot to adventure with when the time is right. Thank you for following along and Greg, Whimsy and I send you all the best!
I had no idea there was a breed called the White Swiss Shepherds. They look stunning! You are doing a great job with her training, she was born to ride! 🐶🏍
Neither did I! It was a few months after Moxie passed that I was looking online about different breeds and came across the White Swiss Shepherd. I thought it was very fitting since my parents are both Swiss and I still love shepherds! So it seemed like the perfect choice and she is really living up to her Rides with the Wind name!
Thanks Keith! Greg is really upping his editing game. I'm very proud of how far his skills have come! Soon it's going to be time to have a Keith, Greg, Jess and Whimsy ride! Ecuador??
Love it! But how do they justify almost $2,000 USD for one of these carriers? And it jumps almost a thousand dollars from the smallest to the next size up…
A Touratech or SW-Motech pannier system is going to cost $1200-$1500 and it only carries clothes, toiletries and a laptop, but not a big dog and definitely not safely - something to consider.
