It warms my heart to see another Diavel enjoyer. I Took mine on A 30 day cross America tour last summer. Taking all the old two lane roads Spent a few days in Colorado, several days in the Dakotas, Had a fresh tire and service waiting near green bay. Rounded The north side of Lake Michigan, over the Mackinac Bridge, the ferry across the Cumberland River into Kentucky. And of course I rode all the Top ten rated Roads in America. This bike is a wonderful piece of engineering, and rarely gets recognized. I have the only Ducati with a sissybar that i made myself. The grab handle now holds a sixpack rack made of aluminum, like you used to find on 3 wheelers, but pulls right out when not needed. I brought coffee makings, a Hamock tent, and a pillow. with this and my rain gear, I needed the saddlebags(nelson riggs), and often left them in the motel . Enjoyed about 8 nights camping. This was great because, I never worried about making it to a motel, knowing I had shelter. . It was an adventure of a lifetime. Looking fwd to hearing about your adventure.

Love the bike and thanks for the follow up. Just sold my 260hp H2 SX so hope the Diavel can keep me happy 😊. I do have to give you some good natured ribbing over all the Ducati branding and red matching Ducati leathers though LOL 😉 It's like the 90's 2000's ricers driving Hondas with huge HONDA windshield stickers to make sure everyone knows it's a HONDA 😂

Ha ha, that is just how Slow Rider rolls. I grew up in the 1980's with a mullet and a 1968 VW Bug with the big white VW sticker in the front window. Ha, ha, ha.............

Totally love your motorbike! I’m thinking of buying one, upgrading from my monster (my starter bike)… I also started riding pretty late… also a form of therapy for me! Love, the summary… would be great if you could move the camera a little bit to show the different parts of the bike… The exhaust sounds amazing, but I’m not sure I would have the courage to change it because the looks of the original is insane… i’ve subscribed and I’m looking forward to more content! 🎉

I think you made the right decision by getting a monster first. Once you have about 5,000 miles under your belt I would definately recommend stepping up to the Diavel V4. When I bought mine sight unseen and un ridden, I rode the first 5,000 miles in Urban mode which limits the bike to 150 HP to get my feet wet. Now I use Touring mode which has full HP etc......

Hello, a few years ago you posted about a Russian stove you built out of cinder blocks, how is it working? any plans how put together? thanks for any info

I only built a prototype type which seems to work. Try googling Russian oven or stove plans, they're out there but it takes some time digging.

You said you have it in Touring Mode. Do you have it in High, Full Power/ Dynamic or Reduced Power/Smoothe? Thank You.

It's in High power mode so I can get maximum power output.

hi matthew, how fast have you gone on the bike? and do you feel a lot of wind through your upper body? i ride a 1199s.

My max speed so far is 140 MPH on an empty freeway for a short time. I typically ride with the flow of traffic from 70 mph to 90 mph and wind is not a problem for me. Sometimes I pass at 105 mph and that is when I start to feel the wind.

You get a 'subscribe' and I have 'liked' all the Diavel vids I have watched. Did you consider the Akra racing exhaust? Amongst other bikes I have a 2007 RSV that I idiotically ride as my daily and have been considering a Panagale Speciale. I am having a reverse midlife crisis being in my 50's and am thinking it might be time to start thinking with my head and heart rather than my genitals. To that end I am seriously considering a Diavel for all the same reasons you have covered in your videos.

Cool, I think you need to get the bike you like personally. But I do recommend the Diavel as it is AWESOME......I picked the Termingoni Dragster exhaust since it is very loud, comes with then Upmap and fairly easy to install as I did all of the work myself.

It is one of those things...re personal preference...for me...I prefer it more natural and less produced. So each to their own I suppose.
