I can totally imagine retired motovloggers making tiny train bridges (then filming it.) It made perfect sense to me.

I'm a retired structural engineer. A haven't done a bridge in my entire career ( I did architectural structures exclusively) but yeah, this was awesome.

My Uncle scratchbuilt a 6'L x 2'H double-track curved trestle to span a small canyon on his full-basement railroad... It was quite impressive, but it was nowhere near the caliber of this one... Simply breathtaking, beautiful work...

It’s been 50+ years since I ran my train set or paid attention to the hobby. I am amazed at technology changes as well as incredible set ups. I really enjoyed this video.... a train voyeur. Thanks for making the video of your labors...

Like 300 plus people have already said, that tressel is awesome. I don't model HO or US railroads but even I'm amazed. Great modelling, well planned and in wood (lumber) too which just adds to its awesomeness!

Nice job on the bridge. It looks awesome. It's a lot of work, but excellent work. I love bridges, viaducts, suspension bridges etc. I'm in the UK 🇬🇧

Many years ago I had a layout featuring several timber bridges. I no longer have the time or space for a full layout, but I am thinking about building a few small bridges as decorations. This gives me a bit of inspiration.

Love this. Plus the Rayoiner Loco is special. The Rayoiner trains use to run through my town and family worked for Rayoiner. Amazing job

Wow! Although I’m building an English layout and trestle bridges are not a feature of our railways in general I have developed a new thing called trestle envy! Thanks for sharing the building of it, it’s amazing, oh and I enjoyed the chocolate making too, cheers for now John

Absolutely amazing, you obviously know what you're doing... model making and home made chocolate. I wish I had that much room. Being into British railways we don't have such dramatic scenery to have such structures but it's given me something to think about.

All that natural lighting coming through the windows will really make this railway layout extra special. I hope your windows have a special UV coating to prevent excessive paint fade of your layout and models.

That's a beautiful structure. My uncle models trolleys, and as a kid I loved visiting his layout. He had a beautiful scratchbuilt lift bridge almost five feet long spanning the walkway through the benchwork, and I was in my teens before I found out that my dad had built it for him when HE was about 17. I work on real trains, and I've never really had any interest in building models of them, but I appreciate nice work and attention to detail. You epitomize both. Looking forward to the continued build. 👍

you seem to have a knack for being able to do everything in a Big way.. I liked seeing chocolate made from scratch at home.. the various machines needed was very interesting. The presentation superb! The trestle.. amazing. Your idea about printing the radii was a great idea..then the jig to make sure it's precise. Thanks for sharing.. looking forward to the next installment.

This immense trestle looks almost impossible to build. But your step by step approach makes it seem almost easy. Extreme patience and attention to detail are the major ingredients. The final result is beautiful!

The only way those two hobbies connect for me is that you need immense patients for both. You seem to have it is spades. Loved watching both parts, well for the bridge part it was sitting wide eyed, wondering how any human could do that! For the chocolate part it was thinking how yum of a hobby that is.

Imagine adding NUT, BOLT, WASHER castings to all those bents and the bracing involved in that trestle!! That would have a person sitting in a corner babbling to themselves after a while!! It will be an awesome trestle either way!!😁😁😁👍👍👍 Nice job on the chocolate, it takes a lot of steps to go from the beans to a finished piece of candy!!!

I love these videos. Somehow they're more compelling than and of the various other "project" videos I've seen. The scope of this project is truly staggering and with your other hobbies you make me feel like a bit of a slacker. But keep them coming and thank you!

Terrific! It looks like it came out of a giant mold - everything lines up PERFECTLY - not a piece of timber out of place - the cross braces look like one continuous piece. All that lumber looks like it would more than easily support an O scale Big Boy! Solid, strong and safe! Well done! (The one I'm building on my n scale track is a little too exciting - and NOT in a good way! Lol)
