Love to see someone doing an overland build with a first generation S10 Blazer! I picked up a 91 a few months back and want to do something very similar. Looking forward to more content! Subscribed!
G'evening from the high desert of Southwest Idaho Nick 🤠 . I'm looking forward to it and you have another subscriber. I recently picked up a 98' S10 4dr 4wd Blazer . One of the next things I'll be doing to it other than installing a new stereo system with in-dash navigation is going thru the 4wd system w/ a new transfer case switch, vacuum actuator can and replacing the factory rubber vacuum lines with aftermarket silicone vacuum lines with clamps for $50 because it'll be cheap insurance on one less thing to worry about 😋
That’s a great idea! I did the same to mine a few years ago and it fixed a bunch of vacuum related issues that I had. A lot of things were hooked up wrong or check valves were bad.
@@Nick_Spencer Thanks 🤠 . That's the same thing that I'm thinking. I just finished with my stereo system install yesterday. The last project I want to tackle before winter hits is replacing knee transfer case vacuum switch, vacuum actuator can for the differential and upgrading the factory junk rubber lines to the new high temperature silicone vacuum lines with constant tension spring clamps. It'll 60 four-wheel drive and my vacuum issues from old dried-out leaky hoses so it'll run better and I'll get some gas mileage back in the process 😋😋
Nothing new has come up yet other than fixing some little small issues here and there. Once I have bigger things to do I will be posting a new video on it👍 that’s a great year to have! All the cool trim options!
Hey, Nick! Fellow Washington State S10 Blazer enjoyer here. Finally getting back into them after a 10+ year break. Picking up my '93 4.3l 5spd 4 door this afternoon! I'm also wanting to do an overland build with it for camping and the likes with the kid and dog. Making any progress with yours??? Love to swap ideas with ya in the near future, and eagerly await your next update here on YT!
Good score on the purchase! Updates have been slow going due to the random tiny problems and money. When anything not boring happens there will be a video about it! This one is my first car and I’ve had it for about 14 years and it’s been a never ending project!
My 86 S10 Blazer when I got it off my friend had a 3 inch body lift that wasn't on there long at that point and most of the cab body mounts failed after only 30K miles with cracked sheet metal. After 10 years of it sitting and rusting away I'm going to start restoring the body and will only do suspension lifts after that experience with a body lift
My plan is to restore the body and frame on this too. Basically a full factory looking blazer but with upgraded parts underneath. Even in its current form I’ve gotten into and out of some pretty gnarly stuff including having a rear wheel a foot off the ground and the other side buried in the wheel well.
I do plan on continuing the series. Only as things happen though. Money is the main issue but I have procured a small block 305 to replace the tires 2.8l. Still on the hunt for a transmission👍
I'm building a 91 S10 regular cad 4x4 truck they make aluminum skid plates for the blazer and trucks I have a set on my 91 I got off a 2 door like you have it's a 3 piece skid plates hope to see more videos
@@Nick_Spencer are you in any Facebook S10 groups I'm in a few Facebook S10 groups if you aren't I would join a few they might can help you find the part I normally try buying s10s with the 4.3 because I have had so many of them I have tons of parts and it's basically a cut small block
