I really want to relocate for studies and better financial situation. These conversations need to be taught in school. The privilege we enjoy in our home countries are exquisite. Moving abroad is greener on some aspects but home is always best. Secure oneself and invest at home. Educate the next generation for better and sustainable developments.
I loved this conversation! I know it may not be everyone's cup of tea but I feel like you all need to have an educator series with certain Kenyan-based influences on how the shift of power is occurring in terms of Western world powers and the global south. I would love to hear the take of those on the ground, watching it happen and those talking to political leaders, etc. Just a secret wish... lol Loved this!

Loved the conversation. Always remember that England was colonised by Rome for 500+ years. As Rome disintegrated only England among the European states regressed into a medieval state. It was the moors who brought their libraries of ancient Greek classics and philosophy to Andalusia and cordoba (Spain, Portugal) and the British were wise enough to copy all the books and start Oxford University. Forward 1870s and new Rome comes to east africa. We have their religion, language, names, laws, education. I believe these processes takes time. We are still in a colonial extractive system with our leaders basically black aristocracts and vassals of the west. All empires collapse and soon the west will disappear from our collective memory. If you were to come back in two millenia, surely there will be no English spoken, no Christianity or Islam. Maybe we will be Buddhists or Hindus 😂. Imagine an African tourist walking amongst the ruins of London, wondering who were these imperial people? Just like the way you can walk around the roman forum in Rome. The German people were the last in Europe to coalesce into a single identity. It took 600+ years and happened in 1870s! The same time USA were defeating the comanche Indians. The Germans while very good engineers lack philosophical depth because they are a new nation. They adopted eugenics and almost destroyed the world. The balkans never formed a single identity, they tried under Tito and it ended violently. ... OK forgive my long diatribe. I happen to interact with an Etonian. The guy is always quoting the classics and the great poets. There is something so special about his mind, the kind of mind that ruled the world. The ability of mental flexibility and dexterity not possessed by the average educated Joe. Our rote learning is practically useless. Only when the ruling class will be philosophers like the American founding fathers will we find our footing. The idiots in politics means we have probably several centuries remaining to play catch up.
