@@delconagher12 Most other cars would have crumpled. Cherokees have reinforced roll cages, and are built deliberately heavy for extra off road stability, therefore giving them a lot of inertia when ramming another vehicle. You know nothing about vehicles.

@@Robert-bh1ox A friend of mine ran over a drunk and it damaged underneath her car to where she couldn't drive. Running them over seems like the right thing to do, there's a chance they roll over the car if you hit them just right, but there's also a chance they get stuck underneath it.
Very likely the insurance company did deny any claim. Deliberate action by the driver caused the damage. Policy is usually voided in that situation. All you could hope for is a ‘made in good-will’ payment in the circumstances.
@@philgray1023 That's only part of the reason. The bigger one is that if they did fire on the Jeep driver and were caught, they would face significantly more prison time and harsher sentencing.

She said herself she panicked. The first move was OK assuming very thick bulletproof glass. The second out of the drive was crazy and she was lucky not shot. Seen other vids where that ended badly. And FFS have your gate lock immediately after you go past it. And make it a quick one. This is South Africa. Esp. if a car is nearby,
It's a lot harder than you think to shoot a target as small as a head through a windshield in a moving car. Your chances are much better if you gun it in his direction than if you sit there and wait stationary and hope he doesn't decide to break the glass to get to you or take his time and aim. As for what people would or wouldn't do, you don't know any better than they do, so presenting yourself as an authority on it is a flawed argument.

Why run them over when they were obviously as scared as she was?? And they didn't even have the guts to shoot at her as she was backing into them. I think she taught them a great lesson...or made them be smarter about their tactics.

Just a word of advise, when ramming and coming sideways to a car do not just keep humping it sideways. You where an easy target to get shot, create distance and when you can get yourself to safety please do so. These guys weren't killers or you would have gotten shot easy. best thing would have been ramming it out of your garden and then closing the gate, getting revenge is not worth your life. She said they couldn't break the windows, so I doubt any of them could have shot her. She was coordinated enought to ram their car, push it across the road, and drive away. I'd say she was calm enough.

Only thing their car was probably someone else's - stolen. Still a better ending than it could've had. Partly saved by (she said) bullet-resistant glass on her car. Too bad one has to go to such lengths to keep what's ours.
