I always knew of borrasca but never gave it the attention it deserved until creep cast covered it. Now I've read it, listened to MrCreepyPasta narrate it, and this is now my second listen into this series by Cole. It's so well written that it's given me a yearning to find more stories like it.
Me... I remember this story just like Wendigoon! Horrifying as a teen, even worse as an adult, and I had no idea this rendition existed...! Cole is surprisingly amazing....
This isn't the exact same story (as in words) as the original r/nosleep post. They add some stuff. Not meaning this is negatively btw, I came from creep cast too.
Yeah I’m noticing that they’ve taken a ton of liberties and straight up changed / removed whole dialogues. I like the quality but really do not appreciate things being changed like that.
Darkb4light 06 kinda sad people don’t even realize this was originally written by C.K Walker. This is a ridiculously changed version of the original, fantastic, story.
What really helps when you listen to podcasts is that you can't actually see whats happening, so you can really let you mind fly and get to see what whats happening inside your own mind.
Tonight was hot and so does Cole's voice... I love that im still getting that jughead vibes tho and how i play with my imaginations in a Riverdale setting.Excellent portrayal of character!! Despite the thrilling elements,i could still feel the calmness in Cole's voice... I wish they would turn it into a series or a film on Netflix:)
I have read and listened to the original Borrasca and Borrasca V multiple times. The story has become one of my favorites to listen to when I’m in need of a good story or a way to pass the time. But this, I’m not sure how I feel. I must give credit in the voice acting, it’s phenomenal. The way Cole does Sam’s voice is dead on how I imagined it. Even the background atmospheric sounds are very neat and make the story come to life too but, I don’t know if I can fully get behind this. They’ve changed up so much and it really just hasn’t hit as good as the original version did. I don’t know. I’m going to continue to listen to the rest of this and hopefully it can turn my opinion around but for now, I’m just not huge into this like I am with the original version.
Got up really early to listen to this and I'll be listening to this on a daily basis numerous times until the new episode comes out next week and that cycle will keep on going and going. Definitely one of my favorite podcasts I've listened to!
Idk if im just imagining it or because mr creepy pasta was my first time listening to this story but i swear it feels like cole is paying homage to the way he did sams older voice
This is my first time listening to this story, but so far the voice acting, dialogue, and art is really reminding me of a 'Telltale Games' series or a 'Life Is Strange' game.. I'm really enjoying it so far ! ^__^
Every time I hear Cole’s voice it reminds me of Jughead. It is very weird to hear jughead’s voice through a different story. This story is very well done and love how well the cast expresses them self’s through their voice. I don’t have to see them to know what they are doing or how they feel.
I think what bugs me about this is the pacing. MCP is the master of knowing how to deliver all the character’s lines without any of them feeling rushed. I’m hoping it’s just something the kids do and it gets better as the characters get older
I remember reading Borrasca back when I was in highschool and it’s one of my favorite things I’ve read I even listened to MrCreepyPastas narration of it when I saw this it was an immense blast from the past and Cole Sprouse is apart of crazy as fuck
I love the version of this story by C. W. Walker and narrated on the Creepypasta channel the best. The narration is very easy to listen to. I have heard it uninterrupted on the 24/7 broadcasts.
fantastic first episode! i‘ve been excited for this all week and rightfully so. the podcast is incredibly well done, so realistic that it actually feels like you‘re in a room with them and of course wonderful performances from all actors involved. i‘m looking forward to each monday from now on, never thought that would happen lmao!
I know!!! I love it. Mondays are now good now and I look forward to them, and I think the story itself (prior to the podcast release I read the OG creepypasta to get a better feel on the plot and what I was getting into) is really interesting and I love how theyve grounded this story and made it into a really well made and produced podcast/radio play that immerses the listener right into the story. I'm loving it so far!!
I'm a tad confused why the story was rewritten in this way. I was confused about CK Walker versus Rebecca Klingel but now I know they're the same person. Has anyone noticed how much her name is buried in these posts? I don't get why she would use two nom de plumes.
I think C. K. Walker was a pen name she used when she published her short story anthologies and on her website. I'm not sure if she moved on to using Rebecca Klingel as her author name now, but she's worked as a writer on Hill House under her real name so I guess it makes sense to use that name and put it all under one.
Don't know. I don't like it either, the original is WAYY better. This podcast is ok, and I wonder how they'll handle the end of Borrasca IV and Borrasca V, as those are the highlights of the story imo. But nothing on this podcast will compare to MrCreepyPasta's narration of the original.
@@itzfrights only on episode 1 and it's still odd that they are taking so many liberties with the source material all just to keep it in 3rd person, tho I do like that they are adding more personality to all the characters.
Not a fan of the revisions made to the first ambercot fort scene. There was way too much tension compared to the wholesome goofing around the kids did in the original story. Plus the removal of them drinking the beer cans upsets me because it sold Kyle as being the edgy maverick that he is for me in the og version and Sam’s substance abuse coincides with borrasca’s hold on his life all starting with that first beer at the triple tree.
Shout out to the original reader of this MrCreepypasta.. I heard this 7 or 8 years ago on his channel.. also funny enough Cole Sprouse sounds eerily like MrCreepypasta in this story . Wonder if they got inspiration from him
3:19 Ok Sam if you wont start "there" then start with St. Louis. Start at the part where the rumors surfaced that your dad couldnt keep his paws off those minors resulting in the move to begin with. (borrasca V)
I listening to this after finishing it for the first time And holy shit u realize that Kyle and Kim bla bla If you don't know just listen the whole thing
