Those were cool little bikes , I remember them . Seams like I also remember they had the same type of big intake holes in the position skirt that the blaster 200 and the rest of that series of motor had that was prone to breaking if not regularly changed out .
These were big in the UK, still are today. Everyone had one. All of them got stolen. It was the number one bike that was stolen in the UK. We had had a choice of white, blue or yellow plastics.
I had a sponsored ride on one of these in 92 in New Zealand. This bike was a weapon heavy yes but felt light, the wide tank took getting used to but the XR280,KDX200 and anything else in that class couldn't keep up with it .the 200 class in NZ was refused to as the WR200 class
My girlfriend rides a DT230 Lanza with WR200 jetting. It's very tingy on a closed throttle but goes like a cut cat when you give it fuel. It has that "ahem" as you open the throttle when you ride it quite slowly, too. I for one would love to see more stuff like this. 90's Japanese trail and enduro 2 stokes were brilliant. Whats your address? I like that pipe. I'm in NZ, no panic. I ride the odd Vinduro on a CRM 250R and a few WR's turn up. They're the bees knees for me, I've always got on with Yamahas. Thoroughly enjoyed and totally related to your video, thank you.
Ive heard of it...I saw them brand new in a dealership! I want to get one and make it my daily driver. I think its a much more capable machine offroad then the KDX200.
Been there done that , Yamaha. Great bike for it , now we have trial bike riders doing the extreme enduro on the modern dull power 2 strokes. Wr 200 ideal.
I remember those from back in the day, never raced one. Rode a yz250wra but the 200 would have been better for my type of riding. Funny the Austrians have s counter balance in their engines now(2017) Great bike! Keep the modern classics alive
I,m in aus and remember these well an they were registerable i rode a 93 wr250 which was a great bike too. The kdx 200 was a fair bit more enduro ey i knew guys that rode wr200 dt 200 and it200 all cool bikes .👍✌😁
