Noraly/ ItchyBoots uses Reckless 80 Mosko Moto bags. She has an expensive drone as well, and from what I've seen in her videos, she has had absolutely no problem at all with her expensive gear. I guess the bags are pretty dang tough and she had changed from the hard case ones that you use to the soft ones. You should check it out. She also said in one of her videos that she prefers the bags because the bike is much lighter. I'm glad to see you on the road, and like I said in another post, I will catch up on all your older videos that I missed!

I would suggest that you change out all your old-school metal panniers and boxes for soft luggage. Most importantly, metal panniers are much more apt to be leg breakers if you happen to crash and get caught under the panniers. Soft luggage is far more forgiving. Also, soft luggage is less susceptible to passing on vibration than hard containers, which will keep your electronic stuff in better working order. Soft luggage can be contracted or expanded to match changes in what you decide to carry. Many sets are specially made for adventure riding and are waterproof. I put clothes and other moisture-sensitive items in plastic bags inside my soft luggage for additional moisture protection.

Good to see you back on the road and that the bad experience has not dulled your enthusiasm. Excellent video great to see your side of the woods. I went the other way and bought a motorbike in Europe to do the TET. Finished up the Greek one last year which was great. It is a bit strange, in someways it is just as remote as the Australian trails. A village is never to far away but on 6.500 ks of off road trail I only saw 4 riders. Getting ready for a big trip here Flinders, Simpson, Anne Beadell, Canning Stock Route, Tanami desert and more. You missed out you could have come with us 😅. Leaving for Europe after this for some more of the TET. Never know might see you on the trails. Ride safe.

I think you do like most motorbike drivers.. Norway, only Nord Cap really applies.. It's a tourist trap.. (and I say that as a Norwegian motorbike driver) And once you're this far north.. Go to East Finnmark.. Hamningberg, Vardø, Sør Varanger.. Beautiful and quite striking nature.. Especially towards Hamningberg.. Have a great trip, and drive carefully..

To save weight. Change to soft panniers and remove the metal ones. Also use a roll top waterproof duffle bag on the seat. You can also then get smaller dry bags to place your expensive electrical gear in to double up on the waterproofing.

Why don’t you ask itchy boots, regarding your heavy box.

Leuk! Iemand uit Australia wees mij op je kanaal, ik ga je zeker volgen. Ben zelf een newbe op offroad gebied en zou zelf ook wel eens een stukje TET willen rijden, met mn vriend mee. We zijn net terug uit Noord Frankrijk met onze GS-en. Oh en tassen zijn echt lichter 😉 Vaak zit daar ook een waterdichte zak in. Groetjes uit Alkmaar; #gsmeisje
