There is no such thing as good and bad everything reflects on you and your choices sometimes good people make the worst decisions lucas was brainwashed by his father to make him believe he needed to protect his family and he did just that until he realized that these are his dads evil doings and his choices. Lucas was a good person being used like a puppet

she is lucas' "2nd test" in what appears to be the classic "pilgrim's progress" of his character arc.

I agree; she is totally creeping me out! At first I thought she was going to avenge her son’s death on him, then I thought she was using him to replace her son because her grief was so intense. I wondered a time or two if she wasn’t wanting him sexually, but then thinking no way.....now that’s what I’m thinking and I’m totally grossed out. And I’m totally confused about wth is going on with this whole episode!! I’m lost.

@@wendymathews1030Well, a character as herself is expected to have breathed religion in and out since childhood. At this point, she pretty much got replaced by bronze age scripture. I didn't know, what was coming, but she never surprised me.

He helped get all of the other people with the teleporting ability and put them into the special room for scientist. He is essentially grooming her to help him because she wants to and not because she has to like the other teleporters that were locked up.

I really just want him to end up being the good guy in the end. Like I might be weird but the best twist for me would be if Nikolai was trying to help her all along and her dad is like a super evil person.

All the best villains in tv are made to be likable. That’s what episode 4 was all about. To make you feel sympathy for him. Think of so many villains in the post popular works of media......Jaime in Game of Thrones, Walt and Gus fringe in Breaking Bad, would all make great examples of how a likable villain (or person associated with a villain) can make a great show.

Look at the stories timeline, it’s her character and not much time has passed she is coping with the whole situation so ofc she’s gonna remain bitchy, she is under stress. They explained how she acts and is especially when she is scared, angry, or stressed. Yes this season is not as good as the first but it’s a story that isn’t spanning a long time like it does with other ones. Most of the time the other characters change fast because of their situation. She drinks and smokes both cigarettes and weed to deal with her issues, there’s no possible way she’ll change in a season when her character is supposed to be like that...

If Henry was a normal protagonist than this series would be not too different from any other one out there. Its these kind of daring shows that show people as more realistic humans that makes this series brilliantly clever. Not everyone develops themselves as a decent character in real life, so why should henry be someone that does?

Thats how people are in real life for their entire lives.

This is character development. What you want her to do a 180 all of a sudden. That would be rushed. Just check the timeline. It hasn’t been very long...

Sometimes people who are hurt are numb to it because every time they feel it they push it away and in turn it makes them numb and either oblivious to their actions or a sudden lack of empathy for other people, its fight or flight people do what they think they need to do to survive and its just the way she copes with it. I don’t understand people who don’t understand her, yes she’s a childish stupid irrational person but thats what happens when you get hurt you do stuff on impulse not with logic. People don’t change fast and you don’t get over pain fast, sometimes you never find a way to cope with your pain.

I think it would not be easy. Even though society accepts that gay is pretty common, it is about as common as being left handed. And as a teenager, you want to fit in, you want to be different, you want to be special, you want to be normal, etcetera. Lots of conflicting desires. And we all only know what life is like from within ourselves. We have nothing to compare our feelings to. So having an attraction for the same sex could be a bit of a shock. You may not know if it means you are gay or if it is just a passing thing. I think the show is really well written. Sorry to stick so many words on your comment. ha. Cheers.

Because everyone is keeping secrets from each other, and the main characters are teenagers with impulsive and underdeveloped brains (prefrontal cortex finishes ~25 years old). Almost none of these characters have healthy coping mechanisms outside of Thomas, either. I was hoping she hugged her too, but I liked that they stayed true to her character. She's not that type of person. The only time I've seen her hug anyone was her mom, and I feel like she has to be really close to someone to do that. it's called a "b-plot". every show has an a-plot and a b-plot, some even have a c-plot. without multiple stories running at once the show would drag and it's not really a good way to carry on a show.
