Important topic for the church and Christian faith. I am a Christian who just happens to be a mental health nurse, and I see a lot of unexpressed emotions, "Faith shaming", and telling people to pray when going through afflictions. Very passionate about the subject because a lot of us fake being okay, which is not what Christ would have wanted for us. He expressed his emotions, asked Peter, James and John to stay with him at his toughest moment, and did become vulnerable with God, " my soul is sorrowful even to death". This is Jesus, weeping at funerals, moving with compassion to heal the sick and He is a MAN and God. I think Bible school should improve their curricula to include Health and wellbeing.

In 2014 I lost my mother and one of church ⛪️ folks said, “don’t worry I will be your new mom 😮” needless to say I snapped.

We indeed grieve differently. When my dad passed, initially I was okay because he had been sick, so I was “glad” he is resting. It was only a few months later that it hit me that this guy’s gone, I’m never gonna see him again and that’s when I broke down. Thanks gentlemen for the insightful episode❤

You are still young, you can have more kids. In the midst of arranging burial for my 2year old . The pain I felt unmatched especially coming from an elderly woman who never buried a child.

I love you vulnerability opening up about mental health issues. We have a long way to go as the body of Christ in opening up about mental issues . Those who suffer are still stigmatized and sometimes demonized ❤

There really is nothing to say when this happens. Sometimes I prefer to just hold the person until their emotions come out. Then just be there until they say you may go. Silence is sometimes the best, creating space for whatever may come, without stopping it.

I lost a child. And someone said 'Life goes on.' I had to bury my dreams wrapped in my son...what do you mean life goes on. I'm still not okay. Grief is long and lonely.

Someone said God is a jealous God and he took my mom because he wants time with me, and that my mom could have died because I turned my mom into a god.. I'm still trying to make sense of that
