Good stuff!💪🎣 Thanks alot for the shout out enjoy the lures and tackle.I hope you catch some good ones on them👍😁I also made the screw lock weighted hooks.
Hey Sarge, second time I've heard you comment on pin fish, so I though I'd bloviate on what a guide in Rock Port told me. He didn't mention spec's but he did say the Pin's and Red's are natural enemies. When the Red's make out a clear spot to spawn in, the Pin's come in to eat their eggs. He would slightly cut the end of the tail and hook them right behind the dorsal fin. That's all I know and sticking to it.
Oh man. Im digging the under armour slippers. Lol. And that darn poopin perch. Hilairious. Love the channel. Every video gets better and better. Great job. Keep it up.
@@Losdaman every sunday with My wife and daughter you will find me usually by the water in. Uuu guessed it. Of course the proper attire. I got wallyworld brand tho 😞
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, and Thank You for a very Informative Video! I am a BOI and learned a few things about artificial baits from your video. Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, and may you catch your limit every time you go out! Semper Fi ! ! !
Great video bro.. Made me grin to see I'm not the only one who doesn't have the best of luck on that side of Galveston. I always seem to have better luck from the state park on down to surfside Jetty. That's why I usually find a little pocket beach in Jamaica.
Cool 👍, back in the Old Miami (60-70), we used to do the same thing in the Key's. We called it a drop line, and as one of 13 siblings, we called it dinner too. ✌️
This is why shore fishing has all but taken me out of fishing until I can afford a kayak. Getting skunked or getting one bite every few hours hurts after a while.
Don't buy anything expensive until you know you're going to like it. Get something that can carry your weight and that of your gear. Hit a protected marsh during windy days and enjoy the beauty of hunting down the fish instead of waiting for them to come to you.
Semper Fi Brother! I enjoy your channel and content. I’m up in Pearland, so I’ll try to find some of the locations where you are successful. Thank you!
Try using a mesh laundry bag with some jack mackerel inside. Boat ramps with grass around them or the marsh. You can get plenty of bait. You can find these items at dollar stores. I live by dollar tree and they have it there.
Not beginners luck with the trout. Most people don't know but you can catch trout and other fish from those rock groins during the winter. Enjoyed the video! You are a great dad!
Bro, first 5 seconds of the video I thought that dude is a salty Marine 😂 semper fi brother! Going to Galveston for a week in June. Would love to meetup one of those days.
Minimum size for speckled trout is 15". I think you were a bit shy. Where you started used to be great for trout, reds and flounder but wade fishing and not bank fishing. Back fifty years ago I could catch fifty or more trout in a morning and seine up all the small shrimp I needed for a days fishing. Unfortunately with the shrimp boats, oyster boats and intense fishing pressure the fishing is only perhaps one tenth of what it used to be. I had a friend who would go to the causeway and put his boat in there in the evening after work. Go a few hundred yards from there and catch half a dozen big trout in no time at all and then head back home. The very best fishing was the original pier near the north jetty that kept washing away during hurricanes. You could catch eight and nine pound trout off that pier and a couple of hundred pounds of gafftop at night (on cut eel). The best I did was on speckled trout at night under a full moon using cut ribbon fish for bait.

Good o bank fishing. I had luck with catching bait right after the bayou vista exit. There’s a lil bridge with current running thru it. Had got shrimp mullet n shad there. There’s rocks n oyster so gotta pull the net up pretty quick
Daaaaaaaaamn! Nice set up! Everything from the rod sleeves and your truck! Do you have a video on how you put all that together? Good fishing brother! Salutations from So Cal baby!
There's no feeeesh!! Jk, great video sir. I want to hit the smiley faced island off the end of Tiki Island in my kayak soon. Thank you for your service and your videos!
Great videos just found you. Vacationing at surfside next month and was wondering if you had a suggestion for rod length/ action for fishing both the jetties and possibly on the beach as well?
Thats bait fishing for me. Dont know what you where trying to catch with the net.. Seems like your not equip for big fish such as bullreds. Big mullet, croaker, and sand trout is the cut bait of choice for bank fishing.
@@MDLRFishing ok. Here is a great spot for finger mullet. Put your waders on. Drive like your going to park at Freeport Jetty. Then turn right on the road before you go straight to the parking area. There will be a rock wall along the coast line. At the end of it towards the jetty side there is small beach area. Where the rocks end and become beach there is always alot of finger mullet swimming in and out of the rocky area.
Hi, I'm one of your subscribers and I enjoy your videos. I live in Houston too. But it would be much more helpful if you mention what spots and locations you're fishing at everytime you move location to location. Your title only says Galveston Banks Thanks,

Nice Video! I like your rack setup on the back of your truck. It looks like it can extend out to hold different size kayaks. Did you have that custom made at a specialty shop?
Mark thanks for a different approach to catching. Also, could you plez post Shawns Instagram info. And if I overlooked it plez point it out to me. Tight Lines and Full Limits to Ya.! 🎣
