Desmond Ford taught me that we should not burn bridges. When you burn bridges you seal your own doom. This man hit a cord within me with this testimony. Thanks Peter.
In the 70’s at PUC I took a class from Dr. Ford. He stayed away from controversial topics. 2 years later I went to one of his controversial meetings in the city in which I was employed by the church. On Monday I was talked to about how this didn’t “look good.” That summer I left church employ. I decided that no church was going to own my conscience. It’s sad.
Des had a hard time admitting daughter of the devil Ellen White was a fraud. Watch Peter’s interview with Dr. Steve Daily who wrote a pyschobiography of narcissist Ellen. Incredibly eye opening and disturbing. Adventism is a train wreck and Ellen was a psychological mess. By Ford’s own words he joined the disgusting cult because he was addicted to sugar and for some weird reason he always added reading fictional novels. Terrible reason to join a heretical and blasphemous demon inspired religious cult. Lots of Buddhists have clean health habits. Lots of very healthy humans are headed to eternal hell as you read this post.
@@nasilajenifer3566 Reconciliation with God is not about cholesterol level; it’s about the complete and final efficacious atonement of Christ, and a surrendered will. Adventists use their health message as an insidious hook to catch naive souls. Ford was caught. He took the bait.
@michaelreyes8182 As we see you in your comments you line right up with the little boy we see depicted in your thumbnail, You are Biblically illiterate. You throw around your hissy fit kiddish comments that expose a heart of stone and ego of blindness.
Des paints this pic how he set the Aussie brethren straight'',,, he stumped them but those who were there tell an entirely different story. Men like Pastor Kent, the Standish brothers, and George Burnside to name a few. Everything he says...I wanted...I tried, I, I, I, everything I. Where do we hear that kinda talk but the great deceiver himself! DES is dead now and so are the many who warned, opposed, and set him straight in those early days.
I’d be careful of claims people make that attack a person and not the claims a person makes. The Bible calls that kind of person a breaker of commandment number nine. Baring false witness. Someone who stoops to ad hominem attacks usually demonstrates that they don’t have an argument. Watch S8:10 and you might gain a more accurate version of events. And why Des needed to make a clear stand. One that refused to back down. Not because he was stubborn or arrogant. But because he needed to present a defined message to those who would soon come and attack him as a person. Like you’re doing now.
