His setup: Texas speed long tubes headers catless, x pipe and roush axle backs. After the dyno day I had to hear these Mustangs on the road so I followed them for a bit
Idk wtf they talking about ^^^ but I noticed that too. It’s sound sooo much different from a dodge or LS engine. I have a 5.0 so Ik wtf I’m talking about
Frank, this video is the sole reason I made my mustang very similar. The only difference between this one and mine is I have a roush cat back. These things are so much louder in person.
I've got a 2020 I bought about a month ago. Got roush h pipe and axle back. Want to go the catless headers route. It's fairly "loud" currently so I just can imagine what lth would make it sound like.
For all the people with an eco boost trade it in for the 5.0 best decision I ever made. Yes you would of saved more money if you got the 5.0 before but it’s all a learning curve. Let it purrrr
This is the video that got me. I put the Texas speed headers with cat delete and Flowmaster outlaw rear pipes on my 2019. It's obnoxious and I love it.
The coyote actually ddoes when you raise the rev limit they start sounding a lot like Shelby's. You can rev them to 7800 rpm stock. You just have to change the intake manifold to the 2018+ intake. You make like 40whp swapping intakes... These motors are stupid good
So I’m late but do you know what specific roush axle back this is? I dare say this is the best sounding s550 I’ve heard, at least on video. I don’t even have one but I’m planning on getting one in the future 😂
Texas Speed headers w/OR pipes are my next mod on my 2015 and might do a clutch upgrade while all that stuff in the way is off... Cant beat them for the price. After that its time to save up for some boost.
Finally I find someone who is running texas speed headers, I can’t find really any videos online of someone running em, install, or anything related to em 🙄
Can’t count how many times I watch this video over the course of the time it’s been posted and I have the same damn car but this mf just sounds too good
bryan martinez Yes and no it depends on where you live if you have strict emissions where you live. As long as you know someone who can pass you when it’s time to go for a inspection you should be fine.
Look at the beater cars in your area. I’m in Dallas its shit on that shouldn’t be with deployed airbags and gets inspected. Just gotta know where to go
Heard there’s a lot of people having issues with smog check, specially in the states that require emissions testing in order to register their vehicle.
We haven't had emissions requirements since I think 1993... it's a free for all over here lol. Glad you enjoyed the video, you'll love my channel if you're into cars
See I like the car but idk if I would have the roush axleback to me I like it to be loud but with tone and idk it sounds good but just a little to much lol and I have a 2010 gt with headers off-road H and corsa extremes but idk I guess the H pipe helps with what I mean
Can I be Frank Hahah I came back to this video because funny thing is I got a 2018 gt and have roush x pipe roush axleback and now deciding between catted longtube headers or catless and between pypes or Texas speed lol funny how the world works
@@barano9729 I think the best solution for those states is to keep the exhaust mostly stock, especially the cats. I'm blessed here because we don't have emissions tests here at all in Florida
Just move out of that shit state hahah I did I was born there but hated it ended up moving to Washington near Portland area tons of car shows no emissions either cops love loud muscle cars here
the owner told me: Texas speed long tubes headers catless, x pipe and roush axle backs. Glad you enjoyed the video, you'll love my channel if you're into cars
I don't know why all these fan boys are saying that sounds good... it's so raspy and obnoxious don't lie to yourselves. We all hate these kind of cars when they leave the car meet. NOT A SINGLE MFer like it. I'm having a very difficult time accepting a header mod to the S550 that doesn't sound like ass... Which sucks, because the GT with a borla exhaust sounds phenomenal. The minute you add headers, instant turd sound. Since everyone and their grandma is making headers for the S550... I'm going to ask you guys this. Which header set up paired with a borla catback, isn't going to sound raspy and fucking annoying.
See that's what mine sounds like and I got to tell you it's beyond noisy it's actually too loud I have Kooks Headers borla Mufflers with straight pipes and x pipe no cats no resonator that's exactly what mine sounds like and that is too loud I don't care what anyone says I grew up with muscle cars and our cars were loud but they were allowed because they were being pushed to be loud you can literally get it a thousand RPMs just cruising and it's too loud I'm going to try to find some new Mufflers to put on it I'm going to keep everything as it is and just replace the borla mufflers because I think those are the biggest problem for the noise
