Based in Dorset in the UK, Monkey World is the largest monkey and ape rescue centre on the planet. For nearly three decades, the team has saved countless primates - across 20 countries - from lives of cruelty, abuse, and neglect. This safe haven is now home to more than 200 monkeys and apes. The dedicated staff never stop in their quest to save animals from being mistreated by owners, ending up in laboratories or being exploited in the entertainment industry.

A million thank-you's !!!!! This was one of the missing episodes from season 6 (as are 7, 9, and 10). Deeply grateful you have started loading Monkey Life episodes again!! One of the very best animal documentaries I have watched. Besides being highly educational and informative, the shows are also warm and comforting. We come to know all the residents as individuals and it is very heartening to see so many people loving primate beings with all their hearts.

@Donna Oleksiuk Indeed! I’ve tried to explain this to my husband …missing the episodes not only because it’s a great show, but also missing the characters in their personal joys & struggles. They have names. Personalities. Habits, fears, best friends, physical challenges. We sincerely miss them as we would miss relatives on an extended holiday. I was verging on distress when finally Monkey Life reappeared in my RU-vid list. Now I understand how people get hooked on soap operas!

Poor Tao, being kept inside his whole life. How cruel some people can be to take a wild animal and try to make them a pet. Or make one a money maker. These are wild animals that should always be in the jungles and forests. Thank God for Monkey World that will give them a chance to live as normal as possible in sanctuary settings or turned back into the wild after being rehabilitated! Many thanks to Allison and her late husband, Jim, for starting such a wonderful place, Monkey World!❤👏👏👏

Such a treat to watch Monkey Life (Monkey World) Dorset again! I’m 62 (soon!) and my family knows that I Love “my” monkey show! I panicked when the episodes stopped on RU-vid and I searched until I Finally Found “Monkey Business” on Prime Video and enjoyed all 9 seasons and so happy to see Jim in all of those seasons and discover the history of the animals. It was so much fun and I’m thrilled to see the show again!

I honestly originally found this series when I was researching purchasing my own marmoset. Thankfully I came to my senses when I realized how awful owning a primate is for the animals. So much better to watch this amazing series and not support the cruel exotic pet trade. I am so thankful to have had access to this series as part of my coming to my senses. 🙈🙉🙈

This blonde lady, the one who seems to be in charge of the place - I'm so curious about her accent. It sounds like an average American accent, yet the idioms she uses, the vocabulary, etc, are all quite British. This place is located in the UK. I wonder if she's from America but has spent so long in the UK that she picked up things from them.

She is originally from California and moved to the UK where she met her late husband Jim. Jim had founded Monkey World.they got married and low and behold they made Monkey World what it is today
