staying at the start of a sector is usually better for resources since enemy capital has less hull->it dies more often->anti fighter turrets disable more often->fighters live longer and anti fighters do less damage->fighters also live longer fixtures dont reset on prestige(think of them as synth point upgrades that cost time instead) you can backup your save, use a consumable to see the results, then load the save. this way you can "preview" the results
