Visiting Sapa, Vietnam, and immersing myself in the vibrant culture of the Hmong tribe was an experience that left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I arrived in this picturesque region nestled in the misty mountains of northern Vietnam, I was captivated by the beauty of the terraced rice paddies, the colorful traditional clothing of the Hmong people, and the warm hospitality of the locals. Exploring the villages of the Hmong tribe allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of their rich traditions and way of life. I was humbled by their strong sense of community, their intricate handicraft skills, and their deep connection to the land. Walking through the lush green fields dotted with wooden houses and meeting with the friendly Hmong people gave me a glimpse into a lifestyle that felt both ancient and enduring. Interacting with the Hmong villagers, trying local delicacies, and participating in traditional activities like batik dyeing, embroidery, and dance performances helped me appreciate the heritage and cultural significance of the Hmong tribe. The genuine smiles, genuine interactions, and genuine bond that I formed with the people made me feel like a part of their community. Moreover, the breathtaking landscapes of Sapa with its terraced rice fields cascading down the mountainside, the fresh mountain air, and the serene beauty of nature all around added to the magic of the experience. Trekking through the hills, visiting waterfalls, and witnessing the simple yet fulfilling way of life in Sapa was truly a rejuvenating and soul-stirring experience. In conclusion, my visit to Sapa and encounter with the Hmong tribe was a deeply rewarding and enriching experience that I would rate highly. The authenticity, the cultural immersion, and the natural beauty of the region left an indelible mark on my heart and mind. If you are seeking a meaningful travel experience that allows you to connect with a unique way of life and appreciate the beauty of Vietnam's countryside, I highly recommend a visit to Sapa and an exploration of the Hmong tribe.
Hello, I’m not sure about that but our hotel let us check in early with additional charges. I think best if you drop an email to your hotel 🤗 👍🏼 most train/bus will arrive at this timing I guess it’s not uncommon request to them.
Hey, really like your video and helpful for me as im currently planning my Sapa trip - wanted to ask you for feedback on the sleeper bus back to Hanoi - wondering whether it might be more worth it to do overnight bus back instead so theres more day time to explore?
Thank you 🙏🏼, yes definitely , there is schedule for overnight bus back from Sapa to Hanoi as well but we decided to take earlier bus to have more rest in Hanoi
Hello! I booked via FB, you may search this name : SAPA BUS VIP CABIN . You may also book via local agent in Hanoi, I think the price is slightly cheaper.
So glad I found this video of yours as I am heading to Sapa this weekend. Main thing I needed to know was if I could do a few things on the first day of arrival and your experience shows that, yes it can be done. So thank you so so much for this!
According to google search, the best time to visit Sapa is from March to May or September to November when the weather is mild, and the scenery is at its most stunning with blooming flowers in spring or golden rice fields in autumn.
In December, Sapa experiences cool to cold weather with daytime temperatures typically ranging from 14°C to 22°C. Nights can get chilly, dropping to around 11°C.
hello! your video is very helpful before i decide going to Sapa. thank you so much. btw did u bought ticket to Fansipan from Sapa Station? Where is the starting point to go up there? Your reply is highly appreciated!

Let me know if you need more info!
Thank you. Totally love your itineraries. I'll take the night train though, for comfort esp my 70yo parents. The food you ate was great. At least not something weird and unacceptable to me. Don't take beef.
Thank you for such a beautiful and helpful video…. May I ask 1. why you were recommended the ecolodge? 2. what are your thoughts on doing the local trekking on day 1 (considering the overnight bus) & 3. How did you find the local guides/homestays? Thankyou!!!
thank you!! I think ecolodge offers beautiful view and quiet location (that's priority factors for us), overall I had great experience there. However, the drawback is it's quite difficult to get into the Sapa center as we would need to rely to taxi to bring us there and one-way can be 150-200,000 VND! Trekking on day 1 after overnight bus? Sure, definitely possible! You may refer the full trekking video here, including the map: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DTSNV2cVaf8.html. But, we were too tired to trek on that day considering overnight bus + flight from Singapore (hint: it involves going up and downhill- few times) We found local guides from Facebook search, there are many guides there actually but we chose Mama Sa as she got relatively numbers of followers ;) and we had great fun with her.
Thank you ! 🙏🏼 I’ve got the taxi from Sapa center. The hotel should be able to help to book, usually they have their own contacts. The price was about 1,800,000 VND
Foreigners must have a Vietnamese drivers license to drive a moto, and also have insurance for the moto, if not you will be liable for any accidents -your fault or not. Also, Vietnam is an extremely dangerous country to travel in and you should have your own insurance that pays IMMEDIATELY or immediate access to $5,000. You will only be received by a hospital, but no live saving care given if they do not have payment or down-payment first. Also need vaccinations for typhoid, hepatitis etc here.
