We have climbed the Stelvio pass with our Saab 9-3 v6 Turbo X
Hirsch Stage 2 and wanted to share that with you guys.
The Saab has driven 332 thousand kilometers, in order to do this we did a lot of preventive maintenance such as:
Sparkplugs
Ignition coils
Brake fluid service
Engine flush
Gearbox flush ( twice within one year to get all the filth out)
Steering rack flush
XWD service ( twice )
New tyres and hirsh alloys.
Coolant flush ( already installed a new water pump and cooler)
The last time we did the pass we couldnt get higher then halfway but we have seen gearbox temperatures as far as 110 degrees celsius. driving down we found out that the brakes are really being used.
In order to do this trip we found it necesarry to do everything that we can to ensure a safe flight.
