I currently own 3 2008 Saabs. Wanted to collect this one but even in Canada, this GM-ish 95 is hard to maintain. Oh, but I still want one in my garage.

Saab Scania didn't go bust, they just left the American market. Saab is a defense company that had various offshoots up to and including automobiles Production resumed in late 2013. This is an old commercial though.

Yeah the car division did due to all the bs they had to go through, but Saab AB is still around. It’s up to them if they want to make cars again, they don’t really have any reason to though.
